  • We tried such a wide variety of food. Each item as explained and we shared the tastes family style. The people on the tour we fun, and the guide entertaining and knowledgeable. In addition, we walked a bit of the old town and saw local flair. I would highly recommend this tour as apart of our adventure.

At least that's how it felt. We arrived half an hour early looking for the meeting point, which for some reason was in a very dodgy part of town. Three blocks north about 60 meters is a beautiful well lit plaza, however each block south felt far less safe than the last.

We walked by the destination they listed and even asked local police at the plaza a few blocks north if we were in the correct area. They pointed right back down the alleys we came from, confirming we were at the right area. When we got back to the hotel we confirmed via google street view that we were indeed at the correct location listed by the company.

My girlfriend was grabbed by some drunk looking locals and we felt very unsafe. There were no other tourists in the area and we stuck out like a sore thumb. For a walking tour that suggests a fair amount of walking we couldn't understand why they would make the meeting point in such a unsafe location when there was a well lit, clean, policed area just up the road.

There was no signage for the tour, and no guide waiting to let us know we were at the right destination, unlike all our other tours. Like I said earlier, we were the only tourists in the area, it would not have been hard to spot us.

We were very disappointed as all our other tours were very enjoyable and easy to find. This was not a case of being a confused tourist or simply arriving late. I would give this tour negative stars if possible, please save your money and do not book this tour.

We tried to call the company at 7:45PM after we got back to the hotel and could only reach a robot/voicemail.

  • This was a fun tour. Can't believe I tied tripe UGH It is a good safe way of being out and about at night and learning about and trying some of the local food. I had expected a bit more sampling, but it was still a fun evening out, ending at a bar and sharing a huge sugary ??? and a local liquor. This same group gives a free walking tour earlier in the day. That tour was amazing and should be considered also.

  • You can't beat the price and you really can't beat the food and fun. A couple hours, great people, interesting food.

  • I missed it.

  • Skip the expensive food tours and join other adventurous people and taste the and #34;real and #34; food of Ecuador! Armed with a plastic spork and a fabulous guide (Obi was tons of fun and full of knowledge) you get to taste some amazing and authentic food.
