I booked this tour and was looking forward to it, but a few days before our tour, the tour provider contacted me to say that this tour was not available and would we be okay with the Proseco tour. I agreed. I shouldn't have, though. The Proseco tour left from Venice and not from Udine like the Friuli wine tour had as an opinion. This meant that we had to take the train 1.5 hours to Venice to meet the driver. Then, we were driven 1.5 hours to the Proseco vineyard. We were given a thorough tour of the Proseco process. Then we were given 4 types to taste, and some cheese and meat to sample. Then we were driven back to Venice. The Friuli wine tour seemed to include much more then the Proseco tour yet cost the same. I contacted the tour provider after the Proseco tour to ask if there was a different in price between the two tours and if I would be receiving a reimbursement for the difference. I was told no! I would not suggest this tour operator.
