Know More about this tour

Your 8-hour Ahmedabad Full-day sightseeing tour begins with morning pickup at 10:00 AM. The first visit is to the Hathee Singh Jain Temple. It is a double-storey temple built around 1850 AD. It comprises of 52 small shrines within its complex. This temple is named after Hathee Singh (a rich merchant who built this temple) and devoted to Dharmnath (15th Jain Tirthankara). The stambhs (towers) in the outer courtyard of this temple are major attractions here. Next, visit the Siddi Saiyyeds Mosque - an epitome of Indo-Islamic architecture. It is undoubtedly the most gorgeous mosque in Ahmedabad as it is adorned with elaborate latticework on its windows. Built between 1572-73, the lace filigree work and ornate floral designs on the whole structure of the mosque makes it a true ecstasy for history lovers and photographers. Head to Sabarmati Ashram where Mahatma Gandhi - Father of the Nation - stayed here along with his consort Kasturba Gandhi, for about 12 years. It is now a museum known as the Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya exhibiting a huge number of collection of oil paintings and life-size photographs depicting various events of Mahatma Gandhis life. Ahmedabad sightseeing tour ends with visit to the Akshardham Temple built in 1992. This stunning temple is a complex of a pink sandstone temple and picturesque gardens spread across 23-acres of land. It is believed to be structured as per Vastu Shastra traditional Hindu system of architecture. A 7 ft high gold-leafed statue of Lord Swaminarayan resides in the santum sanctorum of this temple. Visit this temple to witness the use of pink sandstone at such a grand scale and the impressive artistic skills of craftsmen of its existence.
