Overview

Cool Cameron Highlands is a hill resort with the largest tea plantations also has farmlands, waterfalls, lakes and aborigines. They work closely with WWF in the conservation of our endangered animals. It would be an experience par excellence to sip tea perched on an elevated tea cafe to catch a bird's eye view of the lush carpet of greenery below. Take a stroll through the trees for some perfect photo shoots. Camerons is popular with locals to enjoy the fresh vegetables and the cool weather. We would recommend the HOT POT for dinner as it augurs well for the cool weather.
^ Butterfly Farm See live insects, scorpions, turtles, butterflies dancing.
^ The Vegetable market will showcase various vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons.
^ Live Commentary by English speaking Guide awarded Certificate of Service Excellence by Viator.

Caution: Traffic is unavoidable during weekends and Public Holidays. Please make bookings accordingly.

Viator and trip coordinator should advise customer regarding public holidays and advise them into where they are supposed to be heading rather than getting stuck in traffic for hours and not even reach Cameron Highlands. The trip took a spontaneous detour when our amazing and kind tour guide Kevin decided to change the trip route and took us to other places, and it was amazing experience. Kevin was so kind by offering us presents before we ended the trip which really touched the bottom of our hearts. Kevin buddy thank you very much from bottim of our hearts you are really an amazing person and we recommend you to anyone anytime.

Put aside the fact that this is a long day with a lengthy drive to and from the Cameron Highlands. The trip is worth the wait though. Our driver Ram was awesome. Really knowledgeable and happy to stop whenever we wanted to take photos or take a break. We started the Batu Caves first which were amazing, and pretty much deserted as we were there early (recommended). The Highlands were really impressive with the tea plantation, strawberry farm, butterfly place, the markets, the waterfall. And lunch was impressive - Ram quizzed us about what we wanted and then selected the best place to take us. Local food cooking and presented really nice. Overall a really great day away from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur.

Our guide Thurai was easily the best part of this tour. We chose a holiday weekend in Malaysia, which meant that traffic was bad. Thurai made sure we still saw a tea plantation, strawberry farm and Orang Asli Michael Jackson. Thurai is absolutely hilarious and full of facts. The whole tour felt like a road trip with friends. Want to stop to use a western toilet? Thurai knows where to find the cleanest bathroom. Want to sample durian at a roadside stand? Thurai will arrange. Want to try to hit a target with a blow dart? Thurai will make it happen! He was very friendly and flexible when catering to all our desires. We highly recommend this tour! PS. the water bottles are hard to open but Thurai will help if you ask nicely :DDD.

This is a very interesting tour. Our guide was Thurai and he was very professional, spoke English very well and had knowledge of a variety of topics. The reason that I book private tours like this is because I'm more interested in the people and what their lives are like than a historical site. Thurai was able to give us a day to remember, from the shrines, to the road side markets where the Orang Asli rainforest people sell their medicinal herbs, and what each herb is known for. He also showed us how they live today. The tour is long but well scheduled. There is time for lunch which Thurai had ordered ahead of time for us at a small Indian restaurant. The food was delicious and not as spicy as they eat. I was taken at how considerate everyone was for our comfort and the success of our day, but especially Thurai. It is a good idea to bring some things with you, such as some toilet paper and a small towel for your hands. Most places that Thurai chose for us to stop were western but it's just a good idea touring anywhere in Asia. And the trip back down the mountain is curvy so if you are prone to motion sickness you might want to bring something for that. Don't plan anything for that night as this is a long day, and there might be delays due to traffic getting back. We scheduled our trip for the first of November and although that is the start of the rainy season, this day and most days were beautiful. Also take this tour on a weekday. There will less traffic and crowds. Thank you Thurai for a memorable day!
