This was well organized. Communication with the company for hotel pickup was easy. We saw lakes, eat traditional foods and drinks, cultural dances, learned about the history, visited a cathedral and museum. The guides were knowledgeable.

tour guide didn't talk much, instead of showing city they took us to jewelry factory AKA gift shop. For the money it cost they should do more, we spent 6 hours riding van with ac hardly working 3 hours each way, and about 1;30 min tour, then 45 min lunch, and 30 min for gift shop.

El bus muy incómodo , los asientos pequeños y muy cerrados. El viaje realmente visita muy pocos lugares de interés histórico. Además que hace paradas en tiendas de souvenirs para tentarte a comprar. Santo Domingo vale la pena conocer pero de otra forma .yo me quede un poco insatisfecho con lo que ofrecen .

They run the tour on their convenience - not yours! We had booked the Santo Domingo tour originally on Christmas Day, then one of their agents called Michael told us the Christmas day tour is cancelled at very last moment. He promised to rebook us on the next day (Dec 26) tour and confirmed that someone will be there to pickup at 7:10AM. We waited and waited, no one came to pickup nor called us till 7:30AM. Which is when we tried calling Michael and their office number multiple times why no one had come to our hotel. No one pickedup phones. Michael then cowardly messaged us on Whatsapp instead of speaking. He said the "bus" was there at our hotel at 7:30AM (which was total LIES) and irrespective of giving us the 7:10AM pickup time. He added since we were not there the bus left for Santo Domingo. He also mentioned the main office is closed so no one will answer phone. We informed Michael that the security checkpoint and security manager of our Punta Cana hotel also confirmed that no-one or no vehicle from Caribbean Sun Tours ever entered the hotel property that morning (so he's caught lying). He then said he was relaying only what the "driver" told him that morning. Ended up getting a full refund and bad experience even though we more than accommodated their rebooking and reschedule request during our vacation.

The tour was good . The guide and driver were also very good and informative . A lot of history about Columbus. The lunch buffet was very good. The only problem was being crammed into a small bus for 2 1/2 hours each way sitting on a jump seat with no back rest. Also the bus held aprox 24 people and only 3 spoke English. English speaking people got part of the conversation - 30%.
