  • The tour guide seems more interested to share his version of history and did not focus on proper introduction of the place and buildings. We were given repetitive historical events.

  • Nice tour of the city and tunnels. It was a long day and unfortunately made even longer with very heavy traffic coming home, no fault of the tour company. You might want to adjust the time estimate given though on your description as it was over 12 hrs from pick up to drop off.

  • Very informative, interesting and organised. Our tour guide Binh was fantastic.

  • It is unfortunate that I have rated this tour so poorly because it was actually a good tour. Our guide, Long was very good and provided a good commentary all day. The reason for my low rating is that although we booked this tour, its not the tour we were taken on and after reporting the fact to VIATOR they dont appear to care that we did not get what we paid for.
We booked this tour because we had limited time and wanted to get some perspective on the city and then go to the Cu Chi tunnels. Well thats what this tour offered. Unfortunately we did not get to see the city as we were taken on a tour to the Cia Dao which is a long way from the city and then to the tunnels. As most tourists would know, its hard to understand what the locals are saying when you have just been dumped in their county, and we did not realise that we were on the wrong tour until it was too late. We were shown paperwork before the tour, and our name was on it so we assumed that all was OK. It was not until we were on our way and Long was telling us what we were going to be doing for the day that we thought something was wrong, and it did not sink in until it was too late.

After the tour we reported the fact to VIATOR customer service and they pretty much said bad luck, we dont care. I would have expected that they tell me they would investigate at the very least. Very poor customer service and it will cause us to rethink our use of VIATOR, which is a shame because we have been using it for a long time without any problems.

Now that I have had a winge, the tour.

Long was an excellent guide and provided a good running commentary all day. He explained everything very well and was quite humerus. We went to the temple, and then on to lunch in a restaurant which was very good. After lunch we wnt to the Cu Chi tunnels and was impressed by the setup. Once we finished at the tunnels we were taken back to Ho Chi Minh City and dropped near our hotel.

All in all a good tour, even though it was not the one we booked. A long day but very informative and interesting.

  • The tour was a full day 7.30am pickup and arrived back at hotel 7.40pm. It was a little too long very hot weather and the traffic was unbelievable. Although I must say the bus driver was absolutely amazing such a calm man, no yelling etc just weaved amongst the scooters with no damage to anyone. Spent the morning looking at the famous landmarks, the president palace was a wonderful house art deco furnishings in prisine condition. Contrast to that, the replica of the prison with cells of torture tools and photos that make you cry how the Vietnamese suffered. A lesson that war is not the answer. After lunch off to the Vietcong tunnels, that is another lesson in how to survive underground in such horrific conditions hard to image how that went on for many years. The highlight of the trip was our tour guide he was fantastic funny friendly and full of so much knowledge a walking encyclopaedia. He called himself Tony to make it easy for us to remember. Everyone enjoyed the day we had a mix of nationalities.

  • Eye Opener!

  • Our tour guide Bin was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The whole day was a great experience. We even got to go inside the Cu Chi Tunnels for about 80 meters. Would definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

  • Prepare for a big day of sight seeing! Great tour with lots to see. Hotel pickup was good, then they take you to the booking office to get onto your proper tour bus. Our guide was great. He spoke well and was full of knowledge. In the morning we saw inside and out of the Independence Palace, then the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral, Post office, War Remnants Museum which was very moving, then a nice local lunch in a relaxing hotel restaurant. After lunch we drive to the tunnels, stopping on the way for a toilet break at the art factory for the victims of agent orange. After a long drive we enjoyed the Cu Chi Tunnel tour, learning about the history of the area during the war and going inside a tunnel. You can fire a gun for an extra fee. Be prepared for a long hot day, drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen. Great experience overall and good value for money.
