A not-too-strenuous walk is required to see the best parts of the Gorge. Some sections are sun-exposed, but mostly we walk in shadow over sometimes slippery boulders. Decent footwear is advised; not exactly recommended for those wearing high-heel stilettos!
We visit one of the most important (and pristine) beaches in the entire Mediterranean, Lara Beach, where the Cyprus Turtle Conservation Project has been saving endangered sea turtles from extinction for three decades. Learn the secrets of these sensitive and delightful sea creatures as we take you through the conservation exhibits at the beach. (Note: Turtle nesting season is June-August; the nests hatch until early October.)

Overview
Join a small group of nature conservation enthusiasts for a full-day mission to Cyprus north-western tip, the wild Akamas Peninsula. Combining fun, adventure and some (optional) calorie-burning through short walks and swimming opportunities (May October only). This tour stresses 'time outside in the Nature'rather than being trapped inside the jeep for the whole day.Note: Enough time will be given for optional lunch (not included, extra).

Our guide, Louis, was so knowledgeable about Cyprus. He is highly experienced and very competent maneuvering the mountain roads. He took us to learn about and try traditional Cyprus coffee and educated us on the turtle nests at the Akamas Peninsula. We had such a great day with Louis and he even recommended an excellent restaurant to try in Limassol and he was spot on. Friendly, great sense of humour and experienced, if you get Louis as your guide, you won’t be disappointed.

The agency is professional. Take some food, water, sunblock and a cushion if you're sensitive to bumps when safaring on rough terrains.
