Know More about this tour

You can either board the bus at 11am at the Historic Center (Plaza Grande station), at 11:07am at the Foch area, or at 12pm at the Naciones Unidas Av. stop. All buses are two floors and include a bilingual guide (Spanish and English) that will accompany you at all times during your trip.

On the first stop to the Equator, you will go to Pululahua to see a small town inside of a crater, one of only two inhabited craters in the world. Afterward, visit the Middle of the World famous monument and its Ethnographic Museum. This is where you can get some of the best photos with one foot in each hemisphere and enjoy the views from the middle of the world's monument at a height of 30 meters of the equinoctial valley! This is the only tour where you will have a guide inside the complex to point you in the right directions.

Mitad del Mundo is a park that includes a nine level ethnographic and interactive museum. Experience Ecuador's main climates through a 4D movie theater and understand the differences between every region in the country. There are also plenty of other things to do here, such as a "Beer Museum" a "Ecuadorean Chocolate Factory".

Ciudad Mitad del Mundo also has a planetarium, a miniature model of colonial Quito in its permanent exhibit, an exhibition of Guayasamin paintings and several pavilions of different countries. At the end of our visit we will head back to all the stops where we initially departed. All entrance fees are included.

  • It was a Spanish tour with a bit of English thrown in. At the beginning she spoke a lot of Spanish. For us it was her name and the driver.
Then it was off in Spanish for an extended period. The last part of the tour took us through the Old Town but no commentary was given. By the time we got back to our original starting point it was dark. This tour started at noon. I think they should start earlier.

  • This is a must do tour in Quito. The price is good and the museum is excellent and the Mitad del Mundo is an excellent site with lots of things to see and do. The tour was well organised and I recommend it unreservedly.

  • The most terrible tour ever. Felt like they were selling me snake oil

  • The Mitad del Mundo Tour was best at the real GPS identified location as you get to learn a lot there. I wished we spent more time there instead. There were only two experiments you can do there however.

The fake older location at the equator line was great for taking pictures. However the museums around this place were simple and not very educational.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • It was an amazing experience! Very well organized!

  • I certainly recommend this tour. You get to see so many various sites within the one-day trip, and it will take a number of hours, due to the traffic congestion in Quito. Be patient, it is definitely worth it. You are only allotted a certain amount of time at each stop, so keep that in mind.

  • Wonderful and educational tour. We had plenty of time to browse, shop and take in the beautiful scenery.

  • Good trip.
