Know More about this tour

Depart in early morning from the meeting point in Barcelona's Plaza Catalunya. Visit the Museum of Montserrat and marvel at its cultural heritage. Here you can learn all about the archeology of the East given by Mesopotamia, Cyprus, Egypt and Palestine. You can also admire old paintings from the 13th thru 18th centuries by artists such as Morales, El Greco, Berruguete, Caravaggio, among others.

When you get back to Barcelona in the afternoon you will have free time to eat at one of the many culinary options in the surrounding area (at own expense) before heading to the Cathedral of Sagrada Familia. See the facades and the interior of the basilica, and acquire essential knowledge that only your guide can give about the symbolism representing the 'Holy Family' as an expression of Christian ideology and faith through the construction in stone. In this temple you will identify an exaltation of the 'Family of Nazareth' as a model for a united family, and Christians.

This full day tour ends around 6pm, when you arrive back at the meeting point.

  • Both tours and guides were wonderful, especially our guide to Montserrat, Elaina. She was super knowledgable and not only showed us around Montserrat but provided fun facts and history throughout the bus ride to and from. This tour is also the first to get there which was great, since when we left around noon the parking lot was packed with buses and there were tours everywhere. It's much better to get up early and actually enjoy the scenery and Monastery while its quiet. Amigo tours were great!!

  • Money well spent. Tour guide was professional and knowledgeable.

  • Highly recommended. Top Barcelona places, top guide!

  • This was Amazing! The Montserrat Monastery was absolutely brilliant and our guide answered all of our questions and curiositys. When we get back to meeting point we had free time to have lunch to later continue with Sagrada Familia which simply was STUNNING!

    Thanks for this experience!

  • This tour was amazing. We started Montserrat early in the morning and that's the best option to visit the monstery with no crowds! The guide was so professional and helpful and answered every single doubt we had. Then we had little time to rest and have lunch to enjoy Sagrada Familia in the afternoon without waiting looong queu. I highly recomment this combination.

  • I enjoyed this the most in Barcelona. The monastery at the time we arrived was very calm and we enjoyed the information the guide provided. The Sagrada Familia afternoon tour was wordless. Guide very professional and organized.

  • first w had to meet according to our e mail note at 7,15am when we got there at 7am the bus was loadedand they were about to leave as they sent us the wrong times.montserrat was great the problem was no info was supplied on the sagada part of the trip. no times no where to meet etc. finally after our guide contacted amigo tours we were told to meet at sagada at 3:30. the Montserrat part finished at 1pm and now we had to wait 2 1/2 hrs for the next part and also had to travel across town to get to it .we spent over 30more euro,s just getting to al points. needless to say we were not happy with amigo tours and we will also take it up with them but all this was booked thru the viator website so they have some responsibility for the results
