  • The tour guide picked us up on time at our hotel and was welcoming. We started off with first a short stop at a rest station to use the facilities before our long drive to Khao Sok. The first stop after that was advertised as breakfast but it was only coffee/coco-cola drink that was offered together with a view of a beach resort area from above. After that followed a drive to the Tsunami memorial that was a little sombering with information and actual pictures from the 2004 Tsunami that affected the area. After that followed a drive to the Khao Sok Elephant Discovery park and that's where things got a little confusing as we were offered the option of Elephant Bathing or Trekkingriding atop the Elephant neither of which was in the description on Viator. We opted for the bathing which the elephant seemed to like and we fed the elephantsyou have to pay for the container of bananas. We had felt a little guilty as again he activities with the elephants weren't adequately described and we even saw an elephant chained by the foot outside. After that activity followed lunch at a nice park which was good then a stop at Monkey Temple to see monkeys free ranging. The Canoeing down the river was nice offering great views with a Local Thai guide actually doing the canoeing. A stop at a view point was breath taking as you get to see the Thai Jungle from a very high view point. All in all an OK tour but it's a long drive to and from hotels and the Elephant tour needs to be properly advertised/described.

  • The elephant place treated the elephants awfully. I went to a Sanctuary and the difference between the elephants on this tour and the Sanctuary were phenomenal. The elephants on this tour were skinny and had eye problems. The only positive with the elephants on this tour is that you do not ride them, but other tourists do.
The brief visit at the monkey temple was nice, just monkeys running free.
    Lunch was lush.
The sea canoe was not what I expected, I wanted to be canoeing instead a Thai local led the canoe. But the views were beautiful.
