Overview

Leave Hobart behind and spend a day on the Tasman Peninsula, exploring its stunning scenery and learning about its historical past. Enjoy a three-hour eco-adventure as you cruise along the peninsulas coastline from Eaglehawk Neck to Port Arthur, where you will see Australias highest sea cliffs, discover deep-sea caves and admire an abundance of wildlife. Then enjoy lunch and more exploring the peninsulas attractions on land.

Know More about this tour

Travel approximately 1.5-hours from Hobart to the Tasman Peninsula by coach. Relax and enjoy the stunning coastal scenery as your driver points out interesting sights and regales you with fun facts along the way. When you arrive on the peninsula, enjoy a delicious morning tea before you board the boat for your three-hour scenic cruise.

Your eco-adventure follows the spectacular coastline of Tasman National Park, between Port Arthur and Eaglehawk Neck. The boat has covered open-air seating, which allows for great viewing opportunities and a closer connection to the natural environment.

Marvel at Australias highest sea cliffs as they loom large over the sea, and watch dolphins and seals as they swim alongside the boat. You will explore deep-sea caves and see the slender white lighthouse that stands guard over Storm Bay. There is so much to see, you wont know where to look next!

After the cruise, enjoy lunch and then spend the afternoon exploring the region with your guide. Visit local sites including Remarkable Cave,Federation Chocolate Factory and Port Arthur lavender Farm before returning to Hobart where your tour ends.

Optional Sightseeing Options:
You cant see everything in one day, but you can try! Customize the sightseeing to suit you. Instead of visiting local attractions like Remarkable Cave, Federation Chocolate Factory and Port Arthur lavender Farm you can choose one of these upgrade options:

Enhance your day on the Tasman Peninsula with a visit to the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park and come face to face with the devils. Enjoy the free-flight bird show, hand-feed the kangaroos and see feeding time for the devils!

A memorable trip around Tasman coast - although it was cold and windswept - trip was memorable and exciting along the coast. We saw magnificent coastline, seals and few dolphins. The visit to Port Arthur relics was an anticlimax, esp. since it was raining and boring. Despite this, I would recommend the tour.

Very exciting, quiet an adventure. Our guide stressed safety, but at same time gave us a lifetime memory. Scenery was breathtaking, plus we saw many seals, a playful whale, albatross, dolphins. Boat was comfortable. Another onboard bathroom would have been nice, but we know only so much space. If you are looking for an adventure, this is it

It was alright. We had really bad weather but they were able to modify the tour. The lunch was great. Could have done a few more extras with a small group.

This whole trip was amazing..a great day out for everyone. Fortunately the weather was good. We had to be in the city by 7.30 to catch the bus, which took an hour and a half to get to Port Arthur. (you can also drive yourself down there and just do the boat trip) Our bus driver was Matt, who was very informative and interesting. The trip did not seem long at all. We stopped for morning tea along the way, and got to know other passengers. Upon arrival at the boat, we were given a voluminous red waterproof poncho to protect us from the spray. Our Captain was Chris, a lovely young man who was very knowledgeable and interesting about everything around us, as well as having fun and being friendly and helpful with everyone. Ange gave him good support, and was particularly good with a couple of passengers who were a bit queasy. The cliffs and rocks were amazing, and Chris gave an excellent commentary about them, and also the wildlife and history of the area. The boat trip ended back in Port Arthur, and we went to different venues for a delicious lunch, depending on what activity you had chosen to afterwards. I chose to go exploring, and once again Matt was our fearless leader, who explained everything very well. The whole day was perfect. I would recommend it to everyone.
