The Giza pyramid complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site is at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 km (5 mi) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 km (8 mi) southwest of the city centre of Cairo. The Great Pyramid and the Pyramid of Khafre are the largest pyramids built in ancient Egypt, and they have historically been common as emblems of ancient Egypt in the Western imagination. They were popularised in Hellenistic times, when the Great Pyramid was listed by Antipater of Sidon as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is by far the oldest of the ancient Wonders and the only one still in existence.
Khufu's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman; diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been found but the site has not been excavated.[4][5] The valley temple was connected to a causeway which was largely destroyed when the village was constructed.
Khafre's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king's pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860. Others were found during successive excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, Reisner,
Menkaure's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king's pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added on to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.
The Great Sphinx of Giza, commonly referred to as the Sphinx of Giza or just the Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. Facing directly from West to East, it stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is generally believed to represent the pharaoh Khafre.Cut from the bedrock, the original shape of the Sphinx has been restored with layers of blocks. It measures 73 m (240 ft) long from paw to tail, 20 m (66 ft) high from the base to the top of the head and 19 m (62 ft) wide at its rear haunches. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture in Egypt and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom during the reign of the pharaoh Khafre (c. 2558–2532 BC).
Then Continue your day tour to Sakkara, located only 27 km southwest away from Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid (Built for king Zoser), it is considered an important part of the process of the pyramid evolution, which were made from the simple mastaba to its widely known form.(2 hrs)
Then continue your day tour to Memphis City that was the ancient capital of Egypt, where the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx are. this City Dates back to 3100 B.C .(1hr)At the end of the Tour, you will be transferred back to your Hotel

We had an excellent experience with Hamada. Hamada was brilliant at explaining the sites we saw and she had so much knowledge and enthusiasm when explaining everything. Also Hamada is a great photographer 🥰 big thanks to our lovely driver & air conditioned car for brining us around on this trip too!

Our guide driver were excellent. Based upon our requests, they really tailored our experience. They offered us many options and didn’t push their own agenda. Excellent driving, great food and an intelligent and articulate guide. Really made for a great day!

Waleed and Waleed - driver and guide gave us a wonderful day in Giza and Saqqara. Our guide was engaging and knowledgeable and an excellent photographer. He gave us plenty of time at each site, not once did we feel rushed. The mandatory offer of souvenir shops was presented, and when we declined there was no pressure at all to reconsider. The included lunch was a feast! Great food. The local operators were so helpful as we booked very last minute (2am) and the price was very good compared to many other companies. Would highly recommend!

Great experience , we enjoy it so much despite the heat ! The history behind it makes it worth to see

Mr. Moh Salah/ Mohammed was a great guide, very kind and got lots of information on each site. He made sure we visited every place in the limited time we had. highly recommend

Honest review: the meeting at the airport was shambolic. They should have a sign with your name and come into the hall like other companies. I shouldn’t have to walk around outside the airport looking for the guide. If you don’t have data not advisable. The guide seemed knowledgeable but the tour was extremely rushed. We meet him at 11 and was back at the airport by 4pm. But giving him the benefit of the doubt he might have rushed it due to me travelling with children. They had really cold water which was great!

Our guide was amazing. I don’t know how to spell her name but sounds like N-T-Star. She was so nice, informative, laughed at all of my jokes and adjusted to our requests. You know shes good when not 1 or 2, but multiple other tour guides said we were lucky to have her as a guide. I felt like we were being led by a celebrity tour guide!

The Giza Tour was pleasant. Mohammed and Kareem were very kind and hospitable during the tour. My family and I felt that the tour included all of the designated sights and Mohammed was able to accommodate time with allowing us into one of the pyramids. The tour also made three stops to business attractions such as oils and perfumes, papyrus, and carpets and this was very insightful into the culture and history of Egypt.

This tour is an absolute must. Unlike huge tours we’ve visited in other countries, this was very intimate. Our guide Mohammed F. (Highly recommended) was not only knowledgeable but helped us with not falling into any tourist traps. The air conditioned car and flexibility was a plus. Do not do this tour solo as two of the sites are huge. Suggestion: Ask what the add-one are before you purchase with any tour. I highly recommend this company. I used them for two of my excursions.
