A unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt, this was the second pyramid built by Sneferu. The Bent Pyramid rises from the desert at a 54-degree inclination, but the top section (above 47 metres) is built at the shallower angle of 43 degrees, lending the pyramid its very obvious 'bent' appearance.
The Red Pyramid, also called the North Pyramid, is the largest of the three major pyramids located at the Dahshur necropolis in Cairo, Egypt. Named for the rusty reddish hue of its red limestone stones, it is also the third largest Egyptian pyramid, after those of Khufu and Khafra at Giza. It is also believed to be Egypt's first successful attempt at constructing a "true" smooth-sided pyramid. Local residents refer to the Red Pyramid as el-heram el-watwaat, meaning the Bat Pyramid. The Red Pyramid was not always red. It used to be cased with white Tura limestone, but only a few of these stones now remain at the pyramid's base, at the corner. During the Middle Ages much of the white Tura limestone was taken for buildings in Cairo, revealing the red limestone beneath . Tour Finishes with drop off at Customer Hotel in Cairo or Giza

A most memorable day spent at the oldest pyramids in Egypt - Dahshour and Saqqara. I was really lucky to have Sayed Mahmoud and Mohamed Ragab as my guides - they were very friendly and always made sure I was comfortable and having a good time. They took the time to explain the history behind the sites as the historical events. Sayed Mahmoud was always willing to answer questions I had and took great pictures of me! I would book again on my next trip to Egypt and k hope I get to spend the day with Sayed and Mohamed again! Wonderful wonderful guides.

I took a full day tour to Giza Pyramids, Memphis City, Dahshur, and Saqqara Pyramids. It was an amazing experience made possible by a knowledgeable and kind guide (Salwa Ebrahim) and supported by a wonderful driver (Yusuf Shaban). The whole tour felt like a crash course in ancient Egyptian history. I am grateful to Emo Tours for making my private tour memorable 🙏

I booked a half-day tour for Daschur, Saqqara and Memphis and both my guide and the driver barely spoke English. The guide Mostafa provided very few words on each of these sites and was not clear while communicating. What shocked me the most is that Mostafa did not have any touristic license and was avoiding the gards or bribing them to let us in. I am really disappointed, lost my time and money with this tour.
