Meteora were named after St. Athanasios the Meteority, proprietor of the Big Meteorou Church. Since 1988, the monasteries of Meteora have a position on the UNESCOs global heritage monuments catalogue. Ability to visit a majority of the sites and have a car available. No need to wait on others. Also had driver who provided insights on the road and while visiting the Agia. This was an awesome visit.

המדריכה אלני הייתה מצויינת ומאוד נעימה. האירגון והזמנים היו למופת. צוקי מטאורה מרשימים מאוד. המנזרים ממש לא. מותר להיכנס לחלק קטן מאוד (ברמה של 2 חדרים לערך). אין שום הסברים על חיי הנזירות מה שכן יש זה גערות של הנזירות בקהל.

Malheureusement 7 heures de car aller, 7 retour en partant de l'hotel Flegra. Très fatiguant , de nombreuses marches à escalader et attente pour voir le monastère ou chapelle. Très fatiguant, pas conseillé pour personnes plus âgées. La nature est magnifique mais ce voyage est conseillé hors saison, trop chaud, trop fatiguant
