Pass By: Triumph Arch, Bucharest

Meet with your guide and set out for your Transylvania trip.

Stop At: Peles castle, Sinaia, Prahova County, Southern Romania

Start your day trip with Peles castle (inside visit), set in the scenic mountain resort of Sinaia, also called the Pearl of the Carpathians. Tour the Romanian royal familys former summer residence, which showcases a magnificent palace in the German Renaissance style. Built at the foot of the mountains between 1873 and 1914 by Carol I, the first Romanian king, the palace is considered one of the most beautiful of its kind in Europe.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle), Bran, Brasov County, Central Romania, Transylvania

Final stop at Bran Castle, commonly known as Draculas Castle (inside visit). The imposing construction, originally built as a fortress at the former border between Wallachia and Transylvania, looks out over a valley from its strategic position. The function of this medieval landmark is evident through its grandiose towers as well as its winding narrow staircases and passages. The Gothic appearance adds to the allure while you learn about its infamous ruler, Vlad the Impaler, and its legendary vampire.
Conclude your tour with return transport to your hotel in Bucharest.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Brasov Historical Center, Brasov, Brasov County, Central Romania, Transylvania

Next is the town of Brasov, previously known as Kronstadt. Its well-kept historical center filled with centuries-old homes connected by small streets paved with cobblestone retains its German medieval charm. The whole trip was very well organized. A small group is really good. You are more flexible and a minibus can advance easier in the traffic jam. Peles Castle is gorgeous ! Worthwile the trip! Sinaia, which is close to the castle seems to be a nice place as well! A nice holiday resort! Brasov still keeps up the german influence from the past. Nice place as well!As to the Bran Castle - after Peles not really a need, but since it is linked with Dracula... A word to/about our guide Andrei: He did an excellent job! He is not only a good (perhaps once in a while a bit fast!) driver, but also an excellent guide! He is not only very friendly and knowledgeable, but he also has a good sense for timing! We never had to queue up at the entrances and we could see places - especially Peles Castle - before the big buses arrived! So the fast driving is forgiven!!! Andrei, thanks again and all the best! Everything was amazing. All our stops (Peles Castle, Brasov and Bran Castle) were all quite interesting. We truly enjoyed the tour and while on the bus the scenery was spectacular. Ovi, our driver-guide was easy-going, explained everything in detail and he had a great sense of humour. Fantastic service!

Our guide Andrei runs a good schedule and is good at communicating pick-up times, you can be sure to be in good hands!

I had such a brilliant day. Ovi took the tour and was so knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, everything you could hope for and more. Peles Castle was breathtaking, also followed Ovi's restaurant recommendation for food in Brasov and was delighted with it. I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting Romania, it made my holiday. Faultless.

Today has been an absolute adventure. Would you expect anything less? From an early morning flood in Bucharest through a downpour and possible wolf-sighting at Peles castle, from an amazing authentic meal at Le Ceaune in Brašov (recommended by our savvy guide, Alex) through the majestically autumn-colored Carpathian Mountains, and from sliding, albeit rather comically and publicly, on my arse down the very wet and slippery exit from Dracula’s (Bran) castle to journeying through the animated forest in a snowstorm at dusk, I was consistently in awe of Romania’s profound, natural beauty and deep, strong appreciation for its history and people. On a side note, if you’re an architectural student, you want to visit this castle as it stands alone as a full credit course on stairs, hundreds of staircases and thousands and thousands of steps to exhaust the healthiest of souls let alone me after a few beers at a Braśov tavern. Today’s small group tour guide, Alex, transformed traveling through and beyond Transylvania into a learning experience, a carefree, semi-self guided wonderland, and an entire day filled with memories, fun times, new friends and an immense gratitude for having had the opportunity to visit Transylvania! Many thanks, Alex! You rock!

Pelés Castle and Brasov We would have liked more time in Brasov. With a chance to use the cable car We weren’t keen on Bran Castle

  • 21-Nov-2022

The tour is definitely worth it, Peles Castle's architecture is gorgeous, Bran Castle also exceeded my expectations and the city of Brasov is worth a visit! Our guide Emanuel was amazing, he really knows a lot about those places history and also showed and told us a lot about some places we passed by on our way!

  • 21-Nov-2022

This tour was amazing! Ovi was a great tour guide who took wonderful care of our group. He made sure we got into everywhere before big crowds and gave us plenty of time to explore each place we went. Would definitely recommend!

  • 21-Nov-2022

Our guide was Ovi, great trip, great guide, he was very gentle he gave us very good tips and explained us a lot of history of Romania. Amazing experience.

  • 21-Nov-2022

This is a well thought out trip, stopping at 3 places which breaks the day up so that you are not travelling for long amounts of time. Emanuel had a lot of knowledge not only of the castles, but also kept us entertained throughout the journey informing us of information regarding the local areas that we passed through. I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone. Diolch yn fawr Emanuel :-)
