After breakfast at your hotel, be ready between 7:10 to 7:20am for the transfer from your hotel to the Titicaca Lake port.
We will travel by motorized speedboat to one of Uros's floatingislands where you can appreciate the life styleof the people who live on this beautiful floating reed islands, some only 20 meters in length.
After a beautiful 2hr boat ride we will reach Taquile Island where we will tour around the ruins and visit itsbeautiful people, world famous for their intricate and fascinating weaving.
After enjoying a typical lunch we will return to Puno. Arrival in the afternoon and transfer back to hotel inPuno.

Overview
Uros floating Islands on the Titicaca Lake is located on the shores of Puno. Home to the legendary Uros people, who live on the floating reed islands and the famous weavers of Taquile Island. Enjoy a full day on the Titicaca Lake, our first wisit will be the Uros islands then we will sail for about 1.5 hour to the Taquile island for lunch. We will meet the localpeople and their world famous intricate and fascinating weaving and we can purchase some of this beautiful souvenirs.Highlights

I would recommend this tour as part of their Peru experience! Very different from all the tours i have in Peru! And i would not have immagined boat people only existed in Asia. What a beautiful hands on experience. Next time, I wish i can have a night or two experience with them!

Our guide was awesome, and I had a good time on the tour. The meal was pretty good too, although the rice could be improved. The boat was comfortable, although on the way back it got really hot and I got a bad sunburn. Overall I would recommend this tour but mostly for the good guide.

Our tour guide Manuel was very good, his English was excellent.
We found the tour organisers very accommodating as we had made a mistake with the date we booked but it was no problem and they changed it at very short notice.
The Uros Islands were fascinating, a bit touristy but so interesting. Taquile is beautiful, the walk up to the lunch venue was rather steep and it was hard going. Lunch was delicious, the best trout we have eaten so far in Peru. -

This was a fantastic tour! Our guide was so informative and engaging. After visiting a few of the floating islands, we went to Taquile Islands. Our tour went to a different part of the island than most others, so we were not surrounded by people and bombarded by other tour groups. We got to enjoy the tranquility of our little slice of the island all to ourselves, which was such a treat! We walked around the island on the beautiful stone paths, stopped for a cultural performance and a delicious lunch, then walked down to the beach and met up with our boat. At no point did I feel rushed or hurried along we got to take it all in at our own pace. It was the perfect day!

Well worth doing as you learn why and how they came to be living in the middle of a lake. It is very commercialized so if you want to see traditional living it has sadly fallen victim to tourism needs.
