It was a little chilly so not great amount of animals but we still saw a lot of rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras and a bunch of others. Tour guide was very informative and skilled. Would definitely go again.

Very beautiful experience! We got good sightings on the beautiful white African rhino, young giraffe males necking and big herds of wilderbeest as well as a bunch of other beautiful animals. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and cool weather and many of the animals did not feel like showing themselfes. No lions, leopards, buffalos and the elephants had gone mountaineering so we o ly saw the herds from afar. This is the only reason why I give the experiemce 4 stars instead of 5. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. It was truely a beautiful and unique experience. The weather is nobodys fault but be sure to go on a day with nice weather for the best experience.

My first ever game safari, and I thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. We did two drives, one in the morning and the second after lunch, (great boerewors!). We were warned that daytime tours couldn't guarantee that all beasts would be seen, especially the big cats as they generally slept in shade during the day. We just missed a cheetah and cubs seen by another vehicle, no lions, but pretty well everything else. I'd do it all again tomorrow!

Superb tour guide. He explained everything and was very adept at locating the best spots to locate the animals. Highly recommended!!

Pickup bus arrived at 5:15am as scheduled, but disappointed in the state of the bus as there were half used drinks cans and bottles in every seat back as well as discarded food on the floor. The pickup process lasted about 2 hours and didn’t run smoothly as there were passenger issues, but drive to the park was straight forward and stopped at a small service station on the way. At the park mini bus passengers are split between several ranger jeeps for a professional tour from a park ranger (each jeep goes in a different direction and you won’t see them again till the end of the day).
The park was created in 1979 and all the animals have been placed there along with dams to ensure a permeant water supply so they don’t try to migrate each year, but other than that they live wild lives and the jeeps have to search for them in their natural environments. Saw herds of many things from giraffes to elephants to hippos to rhinos and so on, and one very lazy lion under a tree. Felt very safari like and is far superior to any zoo or San Diego Safari Zoo like place you might visit. One person on the bus was on their third visit that week, and it was easy to see the appeal.
After about 3 hours of driving in the jeep including a rest stop, there’s a lunch stop where people pick a number from the menu. All of the meals are a large size, and most come with chips, so ordering the sandwiches still gets you a full plate. Only complaint here is that the meal is picked whilst driving on the jeep, so you don’t get to see what your might have preferred till it’s too late. The meal is still part of the safari though as the restaurant is positioned next to an area where elephants and wildebeests tend to herd. There’s a further 2 hours of driving after lunch where the jeep going in a different direction to try and find anything that wasn’t located earlier. The safari ends between 3 and 3:30, after which it’s back to the original mini-bus for the drive via the service station back to the various pickup points. Note – it will be a long day for those picked up at airport hotels as mine started at 5:15 and ended at 19:45, but I would do it again for what was an authentic feeling safari trip.

Really a good memorable good day !! Pick up was on time, to different hotels and transition between drivers at the park pretty quick... and then ... we were in the park.
In the wild, I did not wanted to have high expectations not to be desapointed but... Was not at all... We sow giraffes, elephants, 6 rhinos (2 times a mother with a baby), cheetas, and lionesses... 6+ 10. I think... It was a realy heavy raining day, so animals were not hidden within the shades, but just laying in a middle of fields... we were driving and said stop !!! lions !!! and we were there watching and smiling :)

Perfect Safari Drive. Please keep in mind seeing any animals is not guaranteed. Our driver worked hard to see amazing animals in thheir natural habitats. We didnt see all 5, but we were very satisfied with what we did see. The roads are bumpy but the vehicles have very cushioned seats. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour was run by MoAfrika, who actually only provided transfer to and from Pilanesburg National Park. The driver turned up on time (at 5:20!), and after a circuitous pick-up route, sped us to the park (with one snack break) ten minutes before the cut-off time of 9:30. The game drive itself was run by the official park rangers. We were extremely lucky that day, spotting four of the Big Five (lions, giraffes, rhinos, elephants - but sadly the leopards were elusive), plus zebras, hippos, gnus, warthogs, ampalas, etc. Lunch was not lavish, but decent. We left the park at 3:30 and I returned to the hotel by 7:30. A long but definitely memorable excursion.

Great experience for me as I launched from Joberg. Saw tons of animals: elephants, hippos, zebras, lions, boks, giraffe, etc. Enjoyable safari tour with great guide who took the time for you to get photos. No bugs, no issues.
