Know More about this tour

Hop aboard your coach at your central Belfast hotel, and travel along the scenic Causeway Coastal Route. As you travel north, your guide will talk to you about the popular Game of Thrones TV series, adapted from George Martins A Song of Ice and Fire novels.

Stop in the town of Cushendun and walk to the caves where Melisandre of Asshai gave birth to her shadow baby who went on to slay Renly Baratheon. Hear tales of the power struggles, battles and trysts between the noble families of Westeros, and learn all about the exploits of King Joffrey Baratheon.

Travel by coach to Ballycastle to see where Varys was born as a slave in the Free Cities, and after stretching your legs on a stroll, travel to the Dark Hedges road. With its natural archway of intertwined trees, the road is one of Northern Irelands most photographed locations and the place where Arya Stark dressed as a boy to escape from Kings Landing. Pose for pictures, and then continue your journey north.

The next destination is larrybane Quarry right next to the famous Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge an iconic crossing that connects the mainland to Carrick-a-Rede Island. While not used in Game of Thrones, the bridge is framed by magnificent headland that provided a backdrop for several scenes. After a quick photo stop, continue to the fishing village of Ballintoy for lunch (own expense), and then travel to the UNESCO-listed Giants Causeway,

While the location hasnt been used in Game of Thrones, the site is the Causeway Coasts showpiece, and its well worth visiting while in the area. Walk around admiring the hexagonal rock columns and gaze out at the crashing waves along the dramatic coastline.

Board your coach and travel back to Belfast, your tour then finishes in the early evening in the center of Belfast.

  • This was such a great experience! We loved that the tour included locations from some of our favorite GoT scenes and the traditional sights, such as Giant's Causeway. Our tour guide was engaging and very knowledgeable of both the show and Northern Ireland's history. Highly recommend!

  • Highlight of NI trip!! amazing beauty And history even if not a GOT fan. Our guide, Derrick, was fantastic - knowledgeable, witty and efficient. We had a full bus and one family was late coming back by several minutes at quite a few of the venues. Derrick had his hands full but handled the situation professionally to ensure we didnt lose a stop while still keeping his sense of humor. Long day but well worth it

  • Great driver! He had energy and spunk. The tour itself was fun and stunning. A must do!

  • Definitely worth it! Our driver and tour guide was Derrick who made the tour very entertaining and lively especially with his dad jokes. He is very knowledgeable about the visited areas and Game of Thrones. The scenery along the route is splendid and the stops were nothing less than amazing.

If you're going to Belfast, I strongly recommend going on this tour.

  • amazing! the places are so unique

  • Superb tour from start to finish.Derek, our guide, was top class from the outset, explaining everything clearlyand funnily and gave us plenty of time at all the locations to see the sights which were well worth seeing. If you love Game of Thrones and sightseeing this is the tour for you.Lunch was organised in advance and was excellent aswell.A must do.

  • Good tour but long day with little opportunity to stop for lunch. Would have preferred a smaller group of tourists over 30, but this is a popular tour. Troy, the tour guide, was absolutely terrific and we highly recommend him.

  • Fantastic tour taking in the beautiful Antrim coastline. Derek our tour guide made the day for us, he was passionate enthusiastic and amusing and his knowledge was second to none. I would highly recommend this tour even if you have never seen Game of Thrones.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • Booking this tour was key to our reason to coming to Belfast, the whole visit was really a birthday present so we had high expectations for this day - we weren't disappointed.
The coach, setting off from Belfast centre was comfortable and our driver Derrick eased us into the day with the introductions.
Once away from the city centre and as we all started to be a bit more awake Derricks banter started to get into flow and he became more than just a guide but a full on entertainer.
Ahead of each location we would be given the background to its use within the GoT programme, or other such information on the non-GoT locations.
On the journeys between each location Derrick kept us entertained, I dont know how we managed it all day.
It was great to see all different locations. We got lucky with the weather, with only one brief gusty shower, so got some great photos.
The stop off pub lunch was also great well organised in taking the orders to serving the food and had its own GoT tie-ins.
Overall a great day tour with a great entertaining driver!
