Join other fans of the show on this day tour visiting iconic locations from Season 1 thru 7. This tour complements the Games of Thrones Tour with the Giants causeway and is led by a guide who has appeared in the show. The tour departs from a centrally located meeting point and visits some great landscapes locatedsouth of Belfast.
Inch Abbey is a large 12th century ruined monastic site an example of early Gothic architecture. In the series, the King in the North, following the news of Eddard Starks death, decided to bend the knee to their own Northern King. This is the ruin where King Robb, the "Young Wolf", was crowned King in the North. This is a picturesque place to visit on the tour and your first location.
Tollymore Forest is Irelands oldest pine forest. See the very place where the Dire Wolf pups were discovered, and where the White Walker ambush took place. This stunning woodland in the heart of the ancient "Kingdom of Mourne" is most famous for the place the Starks first found their Dire Wolf pups. Other scenes include the mysterious Wildling massacre from episode one. You'll also see Jon and Tyrions tree where they discuss life at the Wall. Be ready as there is a long trek into this dark forest. Who knows what you may encounter?
Then its on to Castle ward estate, an 18th century mansion noted for its unique architecture with its historic farmyard having been used as the location of Winterfell. See the gateway to Winterfells court yard, plus over 20 locations portraying Westeros from the Riverlands to battle fields and more. Memorable scenes include Jamie and Briene of Tarth leaving Robs camp on their way to Kings Landing. See the notorious twins' home of Lord Walder Frey, Tyrion and Bron's first meeting after their trial in The Eyrie. Even the tree under which King Rob Stark and Tulisa said their wedding vows.
Its time to escape back to Belfast and your own world before any more chance of harm befalls you.

Interesting tour, we felt that it was bit unorganized and rushed. The tour guide didn't have a microphone so it was very hard to hear the commentary. We also lost a lot of time. We had departed and then had to go back to pick up some people who showed up late. Then some people got lost during our walk in the woods. This resulted in us ending up not being able to see all the locations. You should also know that some of the locations require a bit of a walk through the woods so dress accordingly. The lunch location was delicious!!

I know that our day might not be the usual way the tour runs, but we felt that we missed out on some of the locations we were looking forward to visiting.

This tour far exceeded our expectations. It was led by a cast member who was truly knowledgeable about GOT and, more importantly, a real fan of the show. He Caelan brought a real understanding of not only the locations, but the story of the show as well and many inside stories and ideas. He was equipped with still photos and videos to explain each location in the context of the show and to discuss the show and how the scene was filmed. We visited so many sites that I lost count but many that are very significant to the story especially the filming site for Winterfell. We were also treated to meeting the dogs that are the actual dire wolves Summer and Rewind Odin and Thor as well as Caelan's father and brothers who are also cast members. As a bonus we were treated to putting on GOT robes and sitting on a replica of the Iron Throne for photos.

Other pluses of the tour were the size of the group only six in our tour and the beauty of the locations. Beyond the relevance to the story, the locations were all stunning and we had abundant time to soak them all in. This was especially true for the Tolleymore Forrest Part visit where were walked for a long distance trough the beautiful forrest. It was just spectacular. On the walk the participants had plenty of time to talk with Caelan about the show, the locations, and other issues.

We have been on another GOT tour, namely in Iceland, which was excellent, but this far far exceeded that tour. I would say that this is a must for any true GOT fan!
