Know More about this tour

This tour picks you up from a central location in Dublin at about 6:45 am. It then takes you to some of Northern Ireland's most memorable Game of Thrones filming locations from the hit HBO series. Stop by the Dark Hedges, where you'll have around 15 minutes to stroll beneath the dramatic arched trees, snap photos of the natural wonder, and hear from your guide why it was chosen for the scene of Arya's nail-biting escape from King's Landing.

After a quick 5-minute photo stop at Dunluce Castle (which was the inspiration for Harrenhal), continue along the magnificent Antrim Coast to the Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland's UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend around 1.5 hours admiring the spectacular landscapes, made up of some 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, formed by ancient volcanic eruptions.

Continue to Larrybane, and learn how it was the site of King Renly's Camp, where Renly swears to Lady Stark that he will avenge Ned's death, as well as the site for the Iron Islands in Season 6.

Continue on to the picturesque coastal village of Ballintoy, where you'll have around 40 minutes of free time. Hear how Ballintoy Harbour served as the location for Theon Greyjoy's return to the Iron Islands, as well as scenes, such as Theon's baptism, Euron's crowning, and the burial of Balon Greyjoy.

Lastly visit Cushendun Caves, where Melisandre gave birth to a shadow assassin in front of a shocked Davos Seaworth in the TV show.

Your last stop is Belfast, where you'll have around 45 minutes of free time to admire the city sights, stretch your legs, or grab some snacks (own expense). Then set out on the journey back to Dublin. Your tour ends back in central Dublin around 7:30pm/ 8:30pm.

  • Tour was great and our guide Irial was great! I learned a lot about Irish history, definitely exceeded my expectations.

  • The tour overall was great. Derrick and Peter were great hosts. A few changes- send out itinerary complete with bathroom stops in advance, the bus was really hot if you sat next to the window. We were dropped off at Giant's Causeway for an hour and the bus left. Turns out the power was out so no bathrooms and nowhere to find refuge from the rain/cold. Had the bus or a staff member stayed we could have at least had some warmth.

  • This was our first tour with Tara and Mark. Tara is very knowlegeable about Game of thrones. All of the locations, I would have visited without them being associated with the show. That association was an added bonus. All locations were beautiful. Loved that Tara had pictures of scenes of the show at each location so that we could see exactly what was filmed at that spot and which angle scenes were shot. Tour starts VERY early and is literally ALL Day. But very worth it. Especially when you have great guides.

  • We took 3 tours in our trip to Ireland this past week -- and this GoT tour with Derrick and Peter was by far the best. Aside from the weather which was kind of crazy the tour was fantastic. The Causeway was beautiful, and the GoT sites were cool. Derrick was pretty entertaining with little jokes throughout the days, as well as informative - feel i learned a lot of the history. Wish we had some more time at some of the places, but overall was great!

  • Well worth the early morning start! We had Irial as our guide and Peter as our driver. Irial was funny and informative. Excellent tour with lots to see!

  • Derek was a really great guide, very knowledgeable and made the trip very fun. Mark was also a really great driver.

  • My husband and I are big fans of GoT and I’ve always wanted to see the giants causeway so we were very excited to go on this tour. We absolutely loved it!! Derrick was very entertaining and our driver Robbie was very good! We went to lots of cool sights and had a lot of time to explore the causeway!

  • The weather was fantastic. We saw all the way to Scotland whilst standing on the Game of Thrones film sight. Our guide Tara was excellent as was the driver Mark. Tara was a lively and bubbly young lady who obviously loved her Irish heritage and was very enthusiastic about sharing it with us. We learnt lots of history and legends. She even had different types of Irish music to play for us along the way, which made the trip all the more enjoyable. Tara deserves a bonus. She was so much more fun than any other tour guide that I have ever come across. She really cares about her job.

  • This was such a great excursion! Highly recommend.

  • Our tour guide Irial was very informative he gave us a lot of information about all of the locations we went too, and Irish history in general. He also gave good tips of things to do in the area. This tour is a must for GOT fans.
