The stunning Ballintoy Harbour looks like a beautiful, sleepy local fishing harbour, but it is also now known as the set for Port of Pyke on the Iron Islands. Close your eyes and breathe in the sea air in this peaceful setting then imagine how different it was with hundreds of people from House Greyjoy at work loading and unloading their ships.

Stop At: Caves of Cushendun, Cushendun Northern Ireland
When you visit the area surrounding Cushendun Caves you will be amazed at the natural landscape and the incredible range of wildlife. On a beautiful day it can be hard to recognise the area as the Storm Lands and the location where Melisandre came ashore, but when you enter the caves its instantly recognisable.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our day with Keith. We had booked a tour with paddy wagon tours and they no showed. My 12-year old son and I are from America and chances are we won’t be back. We were crushed until the concierge at The Europa Hotel called Keith and he was there within minutes. Keith catered the tour to what we were interested in and was incredibly flexible. The information he had about each site added to our understanding. We ended up with a beautiful sunny day. Very fortunate to have found Keith as our guide. Only meant to take an hour and half tour however Keith was gracious enough to spend the day with us. Took us touring around the countryside, places we would never have found on our own. He is very knowledgeable in history and very easy To speak with. Even took me down the street my grandfather lived before he came to Canada. I am heading back next autumn and will be prebooking my tour so that my children can experience Keith’s kindness.
