Opened to the public in 1922 it was declared Worlds Heritage by Unesco in 1984. Located in a residential suburb, it was financed by the businessman Eusebi Gell and meticulously planned by Gaud with waterfalls, a market place and square, gardens, and impressive architectural constructions. The characteristic features of modernism with the original Gauds creations (presence of nature, broken tile mosaics and impossible shapes).
