  • The tour is a great opportunity to see the backstreets of Georgetown as well as posh M street. We leared about Georgetown in general Kennedy- residence, Julia Childs, the well as the food scene and the stories about the deli' s, restaurants and stores we went to. There was a fair amount of food. They catered to specail wishes i.e. non- alcoholic drink, vegetarian... . The places we went to were kond of off the beaten path , The quality of food was good.. I have participated in tour with less explanation and lower quality food. The tour is very recommandable.

  • Fun and unique and informative tour! However, my group of 3 wished there was a bit more food and more than just cookies for dessert.

  • Was a great tour of the neighborhoods, local history, and food from great spots off the beaten path.

  • The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and tasted a side of Georgetown that would have never found on my own. Learned about how Georgetown was the local food district and we ate where the locals do away from the main shopping areas. We had a unique cocktail and also some fun historical stops like the Kennedy Home, the home and classroom of the first African American DC public school teacher - in her home, and other gems along the way.

Without giving too much away, they did a great job offering the neighborhood's past and present while connecting food and culture to the day. I've been on food tours all around the world and this one was one of my favorites. We even went to a place where the owner was featured on the history channel MEAT AMERICA.

Very happy to leave this company great review and so glad I went on it. Looking forward to joining Mangia DC Food Tours again with my family.
