Know More about this tour

Leave central Belfast in the morning and head to the first stop is Carrickfergus Castle -- a striking Norman castle that’s said to be one of the best preserved in Northern Ireland. Enjoy a photo stop here, and hear from your guide how it was built in the 12th century to guard the approach to Belfast Lough.

Head northeast along the Antrim Coast by luxury coach. To the famous Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, an exhilarating crossing that connects the mainland to Carrick-a-Rede Island. Feeling brave? Take a walk across it (own expense) and try hard not to look down at the 100-foot (30-meter) drop! If you prefer to keep your feet firmly on dry land, your guide will point you in the right direction for a bracing walk along the magnificent headland.

Hop back on board your bus and continue to the Old Bushmills Distillery, where the famous Bushmills Irish whiskey is produced. After lunch in the distillery’s bar (own expense), browse tempting wares in the gift shop and then head off to see the incredible Giant’s Causeway!

As Northern Ireland’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, Giant’s Causeway is sure to impress! The fascinating natural wonder consists of hexagonal rock columns that somehow fit together like a baffling puzzle. Climb the ancient stones that line the coastline, and hear the myths surrounding their appearance from a professional National Trust guide. A popular tale is that the rocks were created as giant stepping stones for the fabled Irish giant Finn Mac Cool, so that he could cross the sea to Scotland.

After enjoying Giant’s Causeway, board your coach and travel south, stopping to admire the ancient ruins of Dunluce Castle, a once-important medieval stronghold. After a short walk around, return to central Belfast where your tour ends.

  • Other than the rain we encountered which is to be expected, this tour was perfect. The Northern Coast is beautiful. You see some Game of Thrones filming locations and walk the rope bridge which is super fun. You view seven coastal towns along the glens. Giant's Causeway is a great stop. If you do the walking tour it will greatly limit the time you have at the actual site.

  • Excellent tour really good day out.

  • Excellent! Very friendly driver...

  • The positive things about this trip were the driver/guide - a very entertaining fellow. He told stories, jokes and shared a lot of history and personal anecdotes along the way the beautiful scenery and the fact that you don't have to drive those winding roads yourself. When you arrive you get a guided walk to the Causeway to learn a bit about how they formed. Very interesting. Then when you get to the Causeway you are left to experience and explore on your own for a while. The lunch stop was very nice. It is a fixed menu and you get several dishes from which to choose. The food was good. The negative aspects of the trip, this was a large bus, which puts you up high to see the sites, but our tour was also full to capacity and a bit uncomfortable. We had a couple of families with small children on our tour, which I would not recommend. The kids all got motion sick due to the nature of the curvy and winding roads and we ended up finding a place to drop the families off to leave the tour. The stop at the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge ended up being a bust because it was closed due to strong winds. But I guess that could happen any time. Just be prepared for that possibility. Those who paid to walk across did receive a refund.

  • Excellent tour, tour guide chatted all day and was very amusing. Giant Causeway tour guide excellent too.
We had an extra stop because traffic allowed this and this stop was interesting for Game of Thrones fans and a much better use of time than waiting for our bridge entry time slot. We were picked up from our hotel and the bus very comfortable, so hassle free.
Lunch in the pub was lovely too, all in all a great day out!! Slainte

  • The scenic beauty was quite overwhelming

  • Excellent day -would highly recommend. First stop was Carrickfergus to take photos of the castle and William of Orange. Next was Carrick a rede for a walk across the rope bridge for those who dared! Onto a local pub for a delicious bar meal followed by a stop at the Bushmills whiskey distillery with optional tasting. Finally we arrived at the giants causeway-well worth the wait. Our driver/tour guide Patrick-who else would it be in Ireland: totally made the day. He was very informative all the way there and back and when he didn't have any information for us he filled the time with rubbish jokes -hilarious.

  • A very good value tour that covers the Giants Causeway, Bushmills distillery and the Carrick-a-Rede ropebridge. Special mention for Troy who was very informative, very humourous and kept the tour running to time with enough time at each stop to experience what you would aspire to.

  • Amazing nature made creations!!!

  • Beyond my expectations, the guide was amazing! Very knowledgeable and helpful during drop off making sure we got exactly where we needed to be.
