Know More about this tour

Start this historical walking tour in the citys lively Main square, known as the Praca do Giraldo, or Giraldo Square. Surrounded by picturesque townhouses with wrought-iron balconies, its a great place to snap photos or people-watch with a coffee and a book.

After meeting up with the group, head off to the citys Main cathedral, which was built between 1186 and 1204. While Portugal is full of stunning cathedrals, few are more significant than the Cathedral of vora when it comes to the Gothic style. Spend time exploring the building and then continue on to the Templo de Diana, one of the best preserved Roman monuments anywhere on the Iberian Peninsula. Fourteen of the original eighteen columns on this renowned relic are still standing.

Spend the rest of the tour exploring other significant landmarks in vora including the St. Francis Church and its famous Chapel of Bones. Wander the grounds of the university, one of Europes oldest, and shop for locally made cork products at a nearby market. This tour is limited to 10 participants to ensure a more intimate experience.
