Know More about this tour

You will be picked up from your hotel or other arranged departure point, and leave Barcelona heading towards Girona (approximately 1-hour drive). Along the way, your guide will give you the rich history of this city since Roman times, through the medieval period, the Jewish Quarter to the most cool and modern parts of the city.

You will discover the Girona Cathedral, the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter, one of Europe's best preserved Medieval Jewish neighborhoods. You will then visit the historic town of Girona, where the remains of Roman and medieval pasts coexist. Get lost in a maze of narrow streets and travel through time in the Jewish neighborhood.

Along the way, you will pass over various bridges in the city, including a modern, iron bridge built by Gustave Eiffel in 1877.
After having a coffee in one of the cozy squares of the old town, you will drive to Figueres, a small town near the French border, where Dal was born and also died.

In Figueres, you will visit the Dal Museum. Designed by Dal himself on the ruins of the old municipal theater, you will be able to plunge into the painter's mind thanks to his most complete collection, on a journey throughout the strangest artifacts you can imagine.
After your tour, you will be returned to your original departure point around 7 pm.

  • my favorite tour ever! Dali museum is spectacular!

  • The Dali Museum is a real treat for Dali fans. The architecture is simply surreal. Well worth it for afficianados. Our guide Kurt was a Dali historian and provided pearl of insight. Girona was quaint. The old Jewish section, the oldest remaining Jewish neighborhood had no distinguishing features to show the link with history. Nevertheless, we had a highly educational tour because of Kurt, our guid's erudition.

  • We were disappointed with our tour, mainly because of the guide who was quite gruff and smoked during our walking tours.
The Dali Museum is well worth a visit, however, this tour does not include the tickets and we had to queue for 30 minutes to buy them despite it being midweek. Our guide told us the only thing worth visiting Figueres for was the museum but it was not possible to prepay the tickets, though we did see other groups fast tracking to the prepaid group entrance. This was disappointing.
Girona is lovely and it would have been nice to spend a bit more time there, perhaps a coffee break. I think we lost time due to queueing for tickets at the museum which we visited first.
Before booking I had read reviews all positive and happy with their guide, I think the guide can make all the difference.
I do recommend getting a tour that included the prepaid ticket especially on weekends or peak season

  • Kurt was excellent - courteous, knowledgeable,
professional and patient. We both thought he was great.

  • Our guide was great! He knew Girona very well, and allowed us plenty of time to explore on our own. It was structured enough so that we saw everything, but un-structured enough that we molded the experience to our interests.

  • Fabulous day. Loved all of it.

  • Our family of 5 really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was terrific! This was a great, easy way to explore the 2 towns outside of Barcelona. Girona was amazing!

  • Our tour guide was excellent! He was very knowledgable about the regions, the history, the architecture and the art. We thoroughly enjoyed our day!
