Know More about this tour

Leave from central Barcelona by air-conditioned coach and travel to north Catalonia to the walled city of Girona where you will spend some exciting time.

As you travel, hear how Girona became one of Spain's most prosperous cities in medieval times: a wealth that saw the construction of its beautiful Romanesque and Gothic buildings.

After roughly 1.5 hours, arrive in the city and stroll around the Old Town with your guide. Delve into the old-world streets and Jewish Quarter, home to one of Catalonia's most significant Jewish communities in the Middle Ages.

See the baroque Cathedral exterior and admire the views of Girona's pastel-colored houses perched along the Onyars banks.

Then, after free time for lunch (at your own expense), continue by coach to Figueres, the birthplace of 20th-century Spanish artist, Salvador Dali.

On route, hear Dali's extraordinary life story and learn how this genius remodeled Figueres Dali Theatre-Museum from the towns original Municipal Theater.

Admire the museum's striking Dal-esque facade and then head inside to view its vast collections of Dali's art, before seeing some of his stylized jewels at the neighboring Dali Jewels exhibition.

Get some free time to explore Figueres on your own and then head off to Barcelona where your tour end.

The city of Girona is a very beautiful medieval city, it is totally worth it. In Figueres, the only thing we saw was the Dali's museum, which is nice if you like Dali's work. If not, then don't go there.

We traveled in a full bus, which first picked up some tourist at a different location and then came to pick us up. The problem was that the first group occupied all the spaces throughout the bus, leaving single seats here and there, so that families in the second group sat all separate. I think that the company should have reserved half of the seats for the second group.

People made it to the appointed meeting place for this tour DESPITE the heavy winds and pouring rain on Tues 21st Jan.

At 8:30am Julia Travel Agency took people to stand and wait on the corner street 2 blocks from the agency office for 30 minutes in the pouring rain and heavy winds without shelter. Everyone some of whom are over 80 years old were soaking wet. I got a bad cold and coughing from this tour that never happened.

The tour bus never came. People were taken back to the Julia Travel Agency and was told to wait there until further notice. NO announcement was made that the tour was canceled, until I asked what was going on. This is of course a case of it wasn’t their fault (Julia Travel Agency) but of the Tour Operator. I was even told by this travel agency to go directly to the tour operator if I needed to pursue the matter. How dare I complain! Wow! I’ve never witnessed such disorganization and non-chalant attitude!!! Totally Unacceptable!!!

Inclement weather to some extent is predictable especially in this day and age. It is therefore the responsibility of all parties concerned who are making money from this lucrative business to make proper accommodations to its customers. What’s wrong with a phone call or email notice? Isn’t that the reason why customers provide it when purchasing tickets?!

Viator owes the customers who purchased tickets to this tour a BIG APOLOGY! It should also vet its local suppliers very carefully.

Sheila was our guide. We had a great time in Girona with the local guide then free time. If you want to see the entire museum, there’s little free time left to see the city. But the museum is worth it.

This is one of the best tours that we had for the whole month in Spain. Girona is the great stop and the walking tour is very easy. But Dali Museum is something very very special even for the person not profound in art like me. Wow! Must do! Overly impressed!

Laila was a great guide. Very informative and very helpful throughout the whole trip. Every detail of the trip is planned well and they mix in free time in Girona and Figueres. The bus was clean and well kept - both attractions were enjoyable.

I love surrealism and Dali. The Museum is not overly large, but has a great variety of his work. It is i on several floors. You will be surprised at the kinds of media Dali used.

NIce day trip when visiting Barcelona. The tour was well organized and moved with great punctuality. The only downside was that 2 language groups were combined into one tour and I thought it was a lot of information to relay for one person in two separate narratives. However our guide Mark was a professional and handled it very well. When in Dali museum make sure to check out the jewels collection - very unique and beautiful.

We planed our first trip to Barcelona for month and wanted to spend as much time as possible in town. But a day trip to Girona, Figures and Dali Museum was a must and we did book one. It was a Sunday and the places were not to crowed since everything was closed and that was great
