We purchased a deal for glass bottom boat tour with general admission and found the experience to be well worth it. Learning about corals and the various marine life around the WA coast was eye opening. In truth, learning about the biodiversity of the ocean off the WA coast we have a newfound respect for that marine life. The glass bottom boat experience was fascinating, with the host offering a great commentary on the various species in the particular pool. After it we went into the tunnel beneath and able to see the same sharks, ray and turtle we’d seen from above. The downside was that it was particularly busy, so that we were kind of shoved along when trying to read the information on the various aquariums. However, we did choose Fathers Day to visit, so we shouldn’t have been surprised!

We visited AQWA during school holidays while visiting Perth from Sydney. We did the glass bottom boat tour with our 2 kids and thoroughly enjoyed the commentary by the guide and snippets of information about the aquarium and the collection. The cafe serves good food and drinks and offers a relaxing break in-between tours. A must visit for families with young kids and even early teens.

We actually did the glass bottom boat plus behind the scenes but i cant select that for some reason. The family was 2 adults, 2 teens and an under 10. The glass bottom boat was far and away worth doing - feeding the fish and seeing the real size of the sharks and other animas was very cool. Being able to see the rescue turtles up close, octopus being readied to be added to the exabits and the private tour with a knowledgeable guide was all great

The Glass Bottom Boat was not available. False advertisement. can we get money back, Tripadvisor? How to follow up?

We spent a lovely morning here and included a glass bottom boat tour for an extra $10 each on top of the $30 each adult entrance fee. The aquarium itself is quite small so only spent just over 2 hours here in total. Its quick to get round and we weren't rushing at all as we love to read all the plaques and info. Theres a lovely selection tion of marine life here and it really focuses on what the western australian coastline has to offer which is what makes this worth a visit. Everywhere was clean and organised from start to finish and a trail around the entire place was laid out via arrows on the floor. The shark tank underwater tunnel has a slow conveyor belt round it so you can stand still and let that take you at the perfect pace. Giving everyone plenty of time to see and spot everything the tank has to offer. Ray's, sharks, fish and a turtle. We then went on the glass bottom boat which seated 8 people. You are giving life jackets and taken through a behind-the-scenes door to a section of the aquarium which is above the large shark/ray tank that we had just been through. This takes you over that tank in a straight line, the lady who conducted the tour was super friendly and informative and answered every question the group had. The scuba divers were feeding the sharks at the time we were on the boat so we got to watch the sharks queuing up for their bit of fish which was pretty cool. It wasnt rushed, the perfect addition to the day. Would a Definitely recommend doing it.

We visited AQWA and booked the glass bottom boat tour ($10) on top of General admission and so glad we did . The general admision is brilliant but the glass bottom boat is well worth the $10 on top . It is a half hour informative glide over the Aquarium and very educational for young and old .Aqwa is one of the largest aquariums in Australia if not the largest and is really worth a visit .AQWA sits in the grounds of Hillarys boat harbour itself is an attraction with shops and restaurants and a safe cove type beach ,by taking in the harbour ,beach and AQWA you could spend a very worthwhile day . Admission prices for AQWA are very reasonable with usual concessions for seniors and children .No visit to Perth would be complete without visiting this place shame i can only rate it as 5 stars true rating would be 5+++++

My partner, myself and our children (his9,mine13) loved it. $10 each for almost half and hour. The staff were very knowledgeable and it was just amazing to see the sharks/rays and fish at real size- not at the reduced by 30% through tunnel. I would definitely recommend it!

Today we visited AQWA in Hillary’s along with my two grand children. Both of them really enjoyed the place and the staff were excellent. For me it gives a great pleasure to understand how the whole underwater sanctuary was built when I took the glass bottom boat trip along with my family. Nice day to spend whole day with two kids aged 4 and 6. Thank to all staff of AQWA for their assistance.
