Overview

Experience the best of Glenwood Springs! This 3-hour rafting trip heads up river about 9 miles to the Shoshone Rapids in Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River. You'll get off to an exciting start as your guide navigates the class III-IV rapids including The Wall, Tombstone, Man Eater, Superstition and many more.

Know More about this tour

This 3-hour rafting trip meets at your guide's river front facility. The river gradually begins to mellow out and your guide will educate you on the incredible history of Glenwood Canyon and the Colorado River. At lower flows, natural hot springs come right into the river and the group can stop and soak. Your trip will end right back at the private river ramp at the facility, where you can walk from the raft to a warm shower, to your car and belongings and immediately view photos from your trip.

All safety equipment and necessary gear are provided, including life jackets/PFDs and helmets.

It's recommended that guests bring the following items to maximize their fun:
Shorts or Swimsuits (light nylon clothing is best as everything gets wet!)
Old tennis shoes, sandals or water shoes (flip flops not recommended as they float away!)
Windbreaker or fleece (if cool)
Sunscreen/Lip balm
Sunglasses
Hat
Water bottle
Change of clothes (for after your trip)
Towel (to take a warm shower at the riverside facility after your trip before hopping back in the car)

Please do not bring any electronics such as smart phones, digital cameras, car keys or anything you would not want to get wet. These items have a tendency to be taken into the depths of the mighty Colorado! Please leave these items in your car and your tour operator will be happy to hold your car keys while you enjoy your trip!

We had a great time. The staff was super friendly and the water was great.

We brought a small soft cooler with water. I just wish we would have put some adult beverages in there!!

Fun, wet and well guided. Loved the experience. JC was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. I took the three hour tour for my maiden voyage, but next time I will do the 6 hour, full day, tour.

My second time water rafting and my husband's first. It was awesome. It was fun. The guide Nick was awesome with his corny jokes. : We will do it again if we come to Colorado.

We had a wonderful experience! My family of five( 2 daughters ages 11 and one son age 14) had a blast. We lucked out with our guide LJ. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of Glenwood, the mines, the indians, and the geology of the area. We saw a bald eagle and the was amazing.

The Colorado River was running high and fast from the recent snow melt so part of the normal river run was closed to rafting, but the company changed the route to give us an equal amount of time on the water. What a great trip that was made even better by our guide JC. I'm ready to go again!!!
