It was a mistake. We misunderstood this as famous Waitomo glow warm caves tour and booked this adventure tour. So skipped it all together( and lost money). This name is so exactly sounds similar that it is easy to get mislead. Viator must not promote two identical sounding tours.

Adventurous small group cave experience. Several obstacles to climb over and around made it exhilarating and of course we got to see the happy glow worms.

Had an amazing guide who made us feel comfortable. Was extremely lucky as we were the only two on the tour which made it special Had an amazing time and would definitely do it again

The name says it all "Glowing Adventures" Amazing time exploring these caves. No crowds, just the best that mother nature created. So comfortable in the long longs and gumboots climbing and squeezing through the caves. Totally recommend, will be back.

Huge thanks to all of those that left their reviews of this fantastic tour which helped me to pick this one. Really really worth doing. The walk in the river on the way to the caves was pretty special. Clambering through the cave to reach the best glowworm spot was fantastic - no well-trodden footpaths here! Ash our guide took great care of us making sure that we were all safe and within our comfort zones but didn't remove any of the sense of adventure. He also took some great photos that were emailed to us after the tour without extra charges. The cave is much bigger than I expected. You enter at one end and exit at a different point so no going around in circles here. Support a family business rather than one of the big operators - you won't regret it.

What an experience. So natural, no electricity or paths, just head lights and squeezing thru small spaces. Beautifully guided by Ash, who was extremely knowledgeable. Loved the small group (4 in our group). Excellent prep, with clothing, lights, helmets and safety briefing given. Just can't recommend further, just do it and have fun.

Did a caving tour for the second time and I am confident that I will be doing it again and again. Twice is never enough. Ashley was our tour guide- amazing, professional and bubbly. He took us around, helped us with walking/climbing etc. explained the caves and history. most amazing part is - he clicked photos for us with his mobile (FREE OF COST). I can't describe the experience in words. MUST TRY ACTIVITY.

Get out of your comfort zone and away from the crowds. This tour is small and unique, Ash our guide explained all aspects of the caves, formations and glow worms! It's just you and mother nature at its absolute BEST. Wading through streams, squeezing through tight spots and seeing the most amazing limestone creations that are hundreds of years old and sitting amongst the glow worms in darkness is mind blowing. They even take photos of you for your memories. DO IT.

I have done most caves in the Waitomo area and this cave, plus the tour itself, is by far the best, especially if you want a real cave experience. The cave is in its raw state, only lighting is on your helmet. A 3 hour tour walking amongst a creek, inside and outside the cave, climbing through narrow passage ways, glowworms, etc , it has it all. My 14 year old grandson has been humming with the experience. He just loved it. A bonus is you wear their gear so you can really enjoy the environment. A small business, proud of what they offer and rightly so.

Fantastic mix of walking, wading, scrambling squeezing and relaxing. The tour takes about 3 hours. It was a little cold and wet when we arrived, but the tour have warm changing rooms and provide everything except a change of undies. They do know what they are talking about and the socks, polyprop thermal longjohns, top, fleece layer then jacket kept us warm. The gumboots keep out most of the water and have amazing grip on the limestone. The walk down to the river is interesting. There is no indication of holes in the ground, just a typical New Zealand field with sheep and trees. Next minute and you are at the small river with high canyon walls and you get an idea about the topography and learn a little of the geology and botany. And then you enter the cave system. What a treat. There are big caves, small caves, dark cave and glow worm caves. Being in a small group, there was no rush and we got to squeeze through a few small gaps to become "real spelunkers". Nothing too difficult, but lots of fun getting dirty.. And there are glowworms. You get right up to them and can see the little worms and dangly insect traps, and you get to sit in a large cave with them and lights outs and just chill. everything comes to an end, and we finished up at the office where they have hot showers (remember the change of undies) and a hot drink. This is not a trip with wide footpaths and floodlights. It is a bit wet and a bit dirty and a lot of fun
