Know More about this tour

The Golden Circle Express is ideal for those with a little less time, as in just 7.5-hours you'll see the famous erupting geyser and hot springs, experience the spectacular Gullfoss Waterfall and walk in the footsteps of Vikings through the lava canyon where the American and Eurasian continents have dramatically pulled apart in Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park.

Step on board a comfortable new coach, equipped with WiFi-connected computer tablets in each seat. On the tablets you can use the GPS Sensitive Audio Guide, available in 10 languages. There is also a local guide on board, who will happily answer any questions you might have about Iceland. In each seat you will also find a USB Charger, should you need to top up your phone or camera battery along the way.

The first stop is in Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site listing and the founding place of the oldest existing parliament in the world. This is also where the huge tectonic plates of America and Eurasia drift a part and the rift valley is there before your eyes on the shores of Iceland’s biggest lake.

The next stop is at Geysir Hot Springs, the home of the original geyser and Iceland’s most famous natural attraction. Here the ground shakes and steaming hot water erupts magnificently into the sky from the famous Strokkur Geyser every few minutes.

Our final stop is at Gullfoss Waterfall, where you can go for an easy walk down to the edge of the waterfall, an unforgettable sight to behold. Here the powerful glacial river flows down 32 meters on two levels and into a narrow canyon with a thunderous roar.

We will make a minimum 30 minute stop at Geysir Hot Springs, Gullfoss Waterfall and Þingvellir National Park. In Geysir & Gullfoss there are shops where you can buy food and drinks.

If you only have time to do one tour in Iceland, then this should be the one.

  • This was enjoyable and we enjoyed seeing the sights included.

  • A wonderful tour and great value for money. The guide, Dora, was brilliant she made the day.

  • Very Good

  • Brilliant day out, lots of time at various places. Knowledgeable guide who was very friendly. Good free Wi-Fi on the bus with a charging port in each seat :- Thoroughly recommend this trip

  • Great tour in a beautiful county. The tour guide we had was very nice. However, she didn't do much talking... We mostly had to listen to the tablets that were given to us which was a surprise. Other than that it was great. The group was small so we made great timing and even had enough time to stop at places that weren't included in the tour we stopped to see some horses, we filled up our water bottles with FRESH water right from a glacier.
Oh another thing, one of the stops have free portapotties you can use.... they aren't for the faint of heart... they also don't have any toilet paper so be warned. Paying for the washroom might have been a better idea and i'm a camper

  • It was recommended we take this tour and so glad we did. The geyser and waterfall were just beautiful. we told a couple of off tour stops which we just loved. There were plenty of stops for breaks and food and the farm with the fresh ice cream was just wonderful.

  • Wonderful tour. Ziggy, our guide, went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. Would recommend it to everyone

  • We were on a cruise and the pick up at the port was prompt and well organised. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the history of Iceland. It was a fairly long journey to the area where the tectonic plates are pulling apart in Thingvellir National Park. Next stop was the geysirs. The largest geysir is Strokkur which erupts every 5 or so minutes. This one provided many oohs and ahhs from spectators as it shoots boiling water 15 - 20 metres into the air. 10 kilometres from here you are taken to Gullfoss the golden falls to see the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. There is a fair amount of walking and steps to get to an advantage point for taking photographs but definitely worth it.

It was a long day 8hours plus and excellent value. Had we have booked a similar tour with the cruise line it would have cost much, much more.

  • I can't say enough good things about this tour. We had taken tour with another company prior and what a difference. The bus was modern and seats comfortable. Each seat had own fold down tray table and outlet to charge your phone. Our guide Boulder was friendly, knowledgeable and good sense of humor.

  • This was another great tour. Loved it. We were a large family group of 16. Viator made arrangements to pick us up directly at our airbnb in a mini bus. So conveniently and helpful. Were able to do some hiking down to a waterfall. Filled our water jugs up with clear wonderful water from the glacier and went to a great little place for lunch. Tour guide was funny but knowledgeable about Iceland. I would recommend this tour.
