Know More about this tour

Thingvellir is characterized by tectonic rift valley and marks the rifting of the Eurasian and North American plates from each other. In 930 the Icelandic Parliament, the first democracy in the world, was established at Thingvellir. Thingvellir became a World Heritage Site in 2004. We walk to xarrfoss waterfall.
You probably did not know that the english name geyser, derives from the one and only in the Haukadalur area. The geyser Geysir itself erupts boiling water up to 70 meters, but is almost inactive. Strokkur, only few meters apart from Geyser, erupts on average every 4 minutes. Faxi is a nearby waterfall and we stop there.
Near Geysir is the beautiful Gullfoss Waterfall. Enjoy the view from above and walk down the path to get close to the powerful waterfall.
At Friheimar greenhouse, tomatoes are cultivated, using geothermal heat and geothermallly generated electricity. With a tropical climate inside, they have opened a restaurant, right there in the tomato field. The main ingredients in their menu is of course, tomatoes grown there. This is a very rare and unique lunch experience.

The most amazing trip for me and my family - I cannot believe how much of Iceland we managed to see in such a short time. Helga was so passionate and knowledgeable and the love for Iceland just shined through. I would recommend the trip to anyone visiting and hope to be back myself again soon!

We had a great tour with Helga! Very informative, interesting history and geography, and a delicious lunch at a tomato greenhouse. Everything was smooth and well arranged. Highly recommended!

This was so much fun! Our driver, Stone, took us to some beautiful locations and was very informational and great about answering our questions. This is a small group tour and much better and personal than doing a large bus tour. We were able to take our time and enjoy! The tomato greenhouse is well the worth it! Vwry interesting to see how they grow the plants - much different than you see here in the states.. And you get a meal there as well - homemade tomato soup and breads! Or choose from their menu - very yummy!! Definitley recommend this tour!
