Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Anadolu Kavagi, Anadolu KavagI, Istanbul Turkey
A fabulous tour cruising the atmospheric Bosphorus Straits and visiting the Golden Horn on Istanbuls European shores, key spots on the Asian shores including Beylerbeyi Palace and enjoying spectacular views as far as the Black Sea.
Expect panoramic views of charming towns with traditional wooden, Ottoman houses, palaces and castles along the European and Asian shores perhaps even some dolphins if you are lucky. The famous Golden Horn is a natural horn-shaped bay, dividing the European side of Istanbul into two. Steeped in history, this area and the remains of the old Roman Wall will also be viewed from the cruise.
The tour visits Beylerbeyi Palace, the old summer residence of the Ottoman Sultans, located on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus. It was ordered by Sultan Abdulaziz and built between 1861-1865 by Imperial architects of Armenian origins, in a French neo-baroque style and traditional Ottoman house plan.
The next stop is Camlica Hill, the highest point in Istanbul at 265m above sea level. This is a great spot for understanding the size of Istanbul and to take some photos while admiring the fantastic scenery and relaxing over a Turkish coffee.
During the cruise you can enjoy a view of the Black Sea in the distance and sail past landmarks such as the Maidens Tower, Dolmabahce Palace, Rumeli Fortress and the three important bridges which straddle the Bosphorus.
A break is given at a small fishing village called Anadolu Kavagi on the Asian shore so that you can enjoy the relaxing, peaceful atmosphere.
