Overview

The tour is divided into two parts. In the first part your will join a Gondola Ride in a shared gondola (up to 6 people per gondola) through the Gran Canal and through the picturesque minor canals. The Gondola Ride is not guided and it ends with the landing at the departure station. At only a few steps from Piazza San Marco, the gondola will take you along the enchanting canals of the historic centre. The itinerary that you will do on board of a shared gondola (up to six people per gondola) involves both some unusual areas of Venice and some of the city’s major buildings, such as the Gran Teatro La Fenice and the Basilica della Salute.

After the gondola ride you will go to St Mark's Square to take part in the guided visit of the Basilica. Skip the long lines to access the Basilica and immerse yourself in its unique atmosphere! Listen to our guide describing the biblical scenes and hear about the history and the particularities of this ancient Basilica, once the private chapel of the Doge of Venice and the only one of its kind in Italy, thanks to the beautiful gold mosaics and marble inlay flooring.

  • Not a very good start, the guide was late to our meeting point. Really enjoyed the gondola ride, this is a must when in Venice. The tour of the Basilica was disappointing, not in the information given during it or the inside of the church, but the fact that there seemed to be too many tours happening at the same time and it did feel a bit rushed. We lost our place at one point as another tour had jumped in which resulted in two groups being mixed together. Was not given proper information as to where to meet afer the gondola ride, only to meet by the clock tower in St Marcs square. Not very well organised and could be better.

  • Not so good. First, the organization of the tour was poor. They didn't communicate very well with us where to go, gondola driver spent the whole trip on the phone and texting and was completely disinterested and the tour guide of st marks was incomprehensible. The city is amazing, as is the church

  • Good way to combine gondola ride and the Bascilica. Excellent guide.
