Know More about this tour

Enjoy a day filled with fantastic Grand Canyon experiences plus so much more. The day begins with a scenic drive up Oak Creek Canyon on Highway 89a, a National Scenic Byway. The road winds through the canyon from Sedona to the tall pine forests near Flagstaff. On the way, you’ll have fabulous views of Arizona’s highest mountains, the San Francisco Peaks, a dormant Volcano which erupted approximately 400,000 years ago. Enter the park on the western side of the South Rim. Get your first glimpse of the Canyon at Yavapai point, which is the widest spot in the National Park from the South Rim to the North Rim. See the Bright Angel fault line, parts of the Colorado River and the Bright Angel hiking trail from this overlook.

After your first overlook at the Canyon we will have lunch at the Maswick Lodge. Your second overlook will then be the Village where you get to see the historical El Tovar Hotel, the Hopi House which is a Pueblo replica and the Grand Canyon itself so you have plenty of time to explore. Take a walk along the canyon rim, visit the historic Kolb Studio, shop for souvenirs and watch for the giant California condors that call this area home. There is so much to see and do! Then continue eastward along the South rim, stop at Lipan Point and take in the vastness of the Canyon.

The adventure continues with the dramatic view of Grand Canyon at Desert View. Architect, Mary Jane Colter, set the stage for this view with her design of the Desert View Watchtower. Enjoy the view from a variety of perspectives both inside and outside the tower and learn about the unique design and art that make this place so beautiful and historically significant.

For an even more breathtaking experience, upgrade your tour with an optional scenic helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon. What a truly spectacular Grand Canyon day!

Once you leave the National Park travel alongside the Little Colorado River gorge on the way to the Cameron Trading Post. This tributary of the Colorado River is not as well-known as it’s “big brother” but offers impressive views on its path through the Navajo Nation.

You’ll stop at historic Cameron Trading Post, known for its outstanding selection of Native American arts and crafts as well as souvenirs. Colorful Painted Desert cliffs provide a perfect backdrop for this scenic stop before you return to Sedona or Flagstaff.

  • Amazing tour , Mark our guide was incredibly knowledgeable.and just great , he didn't rush us at all . I highly recommend this tour, worth every penny ,

  • Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas. She took us to 5-6 viewing sites and explained each area, took photos of each group in our tour at several spots. She made sure we were setup for lunch and she was always on time when picking us up after a break. There was about 12 in our group, so it was more intimate and we felt comfortable asking questions. She asked us if we wanted to stay longer at a particular site or if we wanted to move to another site. She was really accommodating to what we wanted to see and do. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the Grand Canyon.

  • The Grand Canyon was wonderful with a sprinkling of snow to add to the beauty. Our tour was very enjoyable and our guide was a really fun guy. Lunch was included and it was good - we were able to choose from a variety of food - something there for everyone. The views from the South Rim were amazing! The disappointment of the day for me was the helicopter flight. My husband and I were travelling with two friends so we thought we would possibly be in a four-passenger helicopter. We were however, designated to a six-passenger machine and seated in the back row. Consequently, the two people in the front seats had a great view as did the two seated on either side of the back row but the two in the middle-back seats could see very little. Being a keen photographer I was bitterly disappointed and a little peeved that my friend and I paid the same money as the others but didn't see the sights. Sorry, not good, and I wouldn't recommend the helicopter flight unless you are guaranteed a flight in a four-passenger machine.

  • This was my first visit to the Grand Canyon and it was breathtaking. We made a couple of stops before arriving at the G.C.
We stopped at ancient ruins and at a lava field. The mini bus we traveled in was comfortable, with seating for a small group.
When we reached the Canyon the weather was brisk and cloudy, Our guide took us too several points around the rim, as the day progressed the sky cleared making the colors of the Canyon more beautiful. But pictures do not due the sites justice It is a must see.
It was an exciting experience. The stop for lunch was less than memorable it is a long day and I hoped for a better lunch meal. Our guide has many years of experience and brought us to points on the rim that were not over crowded. He is also a excellent driver.

  • It was much nicer riding a bus on a cold, snowy day. We were fortunate seeing the canyon west of the lodge, which I'd never seen before. I'd previously only seen the outlooks east of the lodge on the south rim.

  • The driver was very knowledgeable BUT drove entirely TOO FAST. I will never take a Viator tour again.

  • The Grand Canyon appears to be incredibly beautiful. It is really hard to fathom it's beauty and vast size. Unfortunately I don't feel we were able to spend enough time here - a couple of quick stops, enough to grab photos but I felt it wasn't long enough to take it all in and feel it all. Definitely requires more than 1.5-2.5 hours - that is not long enough at all!! The stop at Wupatki national monument was great. A very quiet and peaceful site. Again, it would've been nice to spend more than half hour here. Our guide Mark stopped at the sunset canyon Lava overflow area, which was very cool! On our return he showed us Kendrick Park - this area was gorgeous. The air was fresh and clean and crisp. Divine. The included lunch at Cameron's Trading Post was decent too. I thought the prices in the store were quite expensive. Restrooms very clean.

  • Wonderful way to see the Grand Canyon. We were picked up at our timeshare and driven from Sedona to Grand Canyon. Chris, the tour guide, was a wealth of information, really good guy.

  • Terrific tour, recommend to anyone that wants to visit the canyon and surround areas. Trouble free and packed with info. Tour guide was very helpful and well informed.

  • Chris was amazin. Kept us entertained the entire trip. Started out overcast and rainy but ended up clear. Views were breathtaking, got lots of pictures.
