The Helicopter Tour was amazing, boat tour was awesome. The trip was one of the best experiences we had. Highly recommend this tour.

It was a long day, but my mother and I really enjoyed our tour. We did the Helicopter (Papillon Helicopters) tour into the Grand Canyon and boat ride on the Colorado river. Everything was excellent. We went on a quiet day -- there weren't very many visitors to the Hualapai Reservation on this day. We were able to get through the helicopter tour and boat ride relatively quickly. After we returned, we were told to get aboard a bus that runs through the attractions within the Hualapai reservation being sure not to waste any time. We were told when to be back aboard our Grayline bus. There was just enough time to take some photos and have lunch (included). If you are going to do the Helicopter/Boat option, I would suggest NOT doing the Skywalk, which takes time to do and is kind of a tourist trap from what I could tell (you can't take your own photos but they will take photos for you and sell it to you). Tips: The bus is a Volvo 9700 Motorcoach. It was comfortable and a good ride. There are power outlets at each seat, so be sure to bring a phone charging cable with you. The bus will stop at a large gas station/convenience store in both directions of the trip (on the way and coming back). The restrooms were clean and designed to handle multiple tour buses at a time. There is a Subway inside the convenience store. Our bus driver did not mess around. Listen carefully to his instructions and of course don't be late reporting back to the bus!

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH WAYNE THE RUDE DRIVER WE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH GRAY LINE in our trip to Vegas, in the morning when we arrived around 7:00am we were looking for the bus with the gray line logo, we found a small white van with no driver or staff around it, we got in hoping to meet the driver in few minutes to check if we were in the right one, around 5 minutes later a person got inside the van shouting: Are you the ones that got inside just few minutes ago? as soon we said yes, he started to say that we needed to get off immediately and repeating how we dare to get inside. At the beginning we believed this was some kind of black humor but then he continued shouting and in a really un polite and rude manner started to look for our last name in the list, he overlooked and said we were not on the list and said "I AM GLAD AND I WISH YOU ARE NOT TRAVELING WITH ME" We tried to ask if he can look again or check directly with someone that can give an explanation if maybe we got to the wrong meeting point or what happened. He just literally walked away giving us his back and continued saying, "I just hope you are not traveling with me" We called the number were we made the reservation one day before, they mentioned there was a mistake and our reservation was under someone’s else last name, we tried to give the phone to the driver so he can listen to that from the the lady (Alexis) that was explaining this to us. He just said to her once again with not intention of listening to her in a really rude way "THEY ARE NOT IN THE LIST AND THEY ARE NOT TRAVELING WITH ME" Other passengers kept arriving while we were trying to establish some how a conversation with the driver, he literally kept ignoring us and was yelling and saying to other companies drivers that he wish we were not traveling with him, and talking about us as we were not standing right next to him. Alexis, te lady on the phone was trying to give us a solution so she sent another bus (around 15 minutes later) that was not our group tour to pick us up, Chris the next driver explain to us that maybe Wayne (the rude driver) was having a bad day, sadly this made the experience a different one, the driver never apologize or even tried to explain something in a any way to us. This is not a service that someone should receive when visiting another country and specially when you are paying for it. It is a shame that no one even tried to contact us later and explain or at least say sorry for the unmoral , brutal and un professional behavior from the driver. We still don´t understand if this was some kind of racism or what actually really happened because honestly we cannot find any logical explanation to the way Wayne, the driver acted. Overall this was bad bad bad bad experience and definitely not a way to start the day. Hopefully you take some actions on this or at least send the driver to a costumer service training for future contact with other clients. At the end of the day we let all passed and enjoy out Grand Canyon trip but not for choosing Gray line, but because we didn’t let him ruin the hole day, he already managed to ruin our morning

Excellent tour from start to finish. I highly recommend the helicopter and boat ride package. All of the people were great. The bus driver, the helicopter pilot and the boat driver were all excellent guides.

Well worth the money! We did the helicopter and boat tour as well. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable especially our driver and boat captain. Would 100% recommend!

We got blessed with an asian Bus Driver named Freddie as our tour guide... He was SO personable, professional, and humorous the entire time. He's been doing this 25 years and was very thorough. He made sure to give us all personalized details about where to be and at what time. Set expectations about our schedule and stuck to it. We took the helicopter down to the base of fhe grand canyon and took a pontoon ride - What an AMAZING time!

May I share with you our experience on that tour on Tuesday September 27 2022. We were picked up at the Strat hotel about 90 minutes late.  When I called to enquire at 30 minutes late, I was given the answer "the bus was stuck in traffic, it should be there any moment".  Later another passenger told us that they were told what would seem to be a more correct explanation, that the original bus driver called in sick and a replacement had to be found.   When we arrived at West Rim all we were told was that those with the helicopter ride "your day starts starts over" at the building over there (for helicopter boarding),  We went there, were told it would be a 20 minute wait, but then we were told by one helicopter pilot walking on his way back that the other helicopter pilot had "broken his helicopter" so they were down one helicopter for the day. There was then a long wait to get on the helicopter to go to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, then a nice short boat ride, then another very long wait for a helicopter to take us back up to the rim.   We and another couple who had been on that helicopter didn't know what to do next, as we had had no further guidance.  We didn't know where we could take our lunch tickets to eat.  Then we were told there wasn't enough time for us to get on the shuttle bus to Skywalk point and back by 4pm when our bus was to leave the West Rim to return towards Las Vegas.  Then staff at the West Rim on their own initiative had someone drive just us and the other couple to Hualapai Point for lunch, as that was quickest.  The same person came back for us to get us to the Gray Line bus at about 3:50pm.  In other words, the earlier delays meant there was no time for us (and the other couple) to get to see the scenic views from the point at the Skywalk area, also no time to get to see the scenic views from Eagle Point. This was disappointing. Nor could we have our lunch at the Skywalk restaurant.   (Note: I sent this comment directly to Gray Line Las Vegas immediately afterwards, and never received a reply.)

We loved the experience. The helicopter and boat rides were good. Only complaint is we wish they were longer - went very quickly. Doing both of those did not leave us much time at the 3 other optional destinations (we managed to get to 2, but felt rushed). The meal at Guano Point was very, very good. The stop at the Hoover Damn Bridge & Lake Meade Tourist Viewing Area was worthwhile. (Highly recommend taking a separate trip and tour of the Dam itself.). Driver was fun, informative and prompt. The bus was very clean. Next time I would skip the helicopter/boat ride and spend more time at the 3 canyon viewing areas.

The place is great to visit. However, is better to book a private tour with a max 4 persons than a bus tour. We were picked up from the hotel in a bus of 50 people. Only 9 of us had the extra option of heli/ boat (the most expensive). We were dropped off fist at the heli instead of the skybridge where was the most crowded as cheaper (only $69). By the time we got to the bridge, after heli, there was a 2 hrs wait. We waited in the sun znd did not have time for the promissed snd oaid for barbecue lunch at the Eagle view point. Not to say that the driver paid most attention to the rest of the tour participants with the cheaper option. After we walked the bridge we found that the driver left us to wait him for about 45 minutes in the parking lot while he went to pick up the others from Eagle point where they enjoyed lunch and views. Not to say that on our way back to LV, the A/C in the bus was either turned off or down as we soaked and baked. All in all, if you are party of 2 to 4, rent your own car and drive yourself. Once you are st the Grand Canyon West you can purchase tge "greatest package" includes all, I mean it all for only $366. You do the math and will see that you will be better off that way. I have booked all my vacations thru Viator, the were all great, ut this one left me a dour taste.

Booked a tour to the West Rim on 8/15/22 that included bus, helicopter, and boat ride. There was a death on the West rim that day so once we arrived, the West rim was closed. The tour guide said refund would be given and he asked for our orange tickets. I've been trying to get a refund for the five expensive tickets that I bought for the helicopter/boat with no response from Gray line. I've emailed the company at their "help" email six times (can't speak to a live person, only have customer service via email, they say) and have not received one response. No one checks emails, no one responds. The one star is for their poor customer service. Customers should not have to work this hard to get a refund for services not rendered. Perhaps this review will encourage the company to reply to my emails - tour confirmation number # 59674336.
