The entire trip ,right from the start. The captain backed the boat out of a sardine birth. He was very engaging and knowledgeable about the whole area we were in. His boat handling skills are 2nd to none. The crew was courteous and professional. The fresh cookies were a very nice touch. All in all it was a very engaging experience. I look forward to going again. Thank you for a wonderful day. Stay safe and healthy.

We were a party of 5 adults and took this tour April 2nd. We had a fantastic time on this tour. The captain was phenomenal and the staff was incredible as well. On the boat as well as in the store and check in. Lunch is served early in the cruise as well as a warm cookie later. We had perfect weather and saw everything that was mentioned except the whales but that was a long shot so early in the season. The only things they don’t offer is assigned seating so get there early for the line if possible. Very happy with this tour company.

This was such a fun and educational experience. We learned a lot about the wildlife and the landscape from the captain and crew. They were all experienced and knowledgeable, and if someone asked them something they didn’t know, they would go find out and come back with an answer. The captain knew just the right spots to go to for us to see as much wildlife as possible in late March. We saw porpoises, resident orca wales, sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, bald eagles, dall sheep and one ‘stray’ humpback whale. He stayed in an area long enough to have multiple sightings and let everyone get their photos. Lots of interesting landscape information. So worth the money!

We had an amazing time on our tour! It was a cold day in early May but we dressed warm and spent time in the enclosed part of the boat and had a great time. We enjoyed our tour guide and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful from check in until the end of the tour. We learned so much about the Seward area and were captivated by the beauty of Resurrection Bay. We did see some awesome wildlife- a whale, sea otters, an eagle, sea lions and many different birds but we all have commented that the tour would have still been amazing even if we hadn’t seen any wildlife!! Totally recommend this tour for everyone!!

The crew was absolutely wonderful! Everyone was extremely enthusiastic and loved chatting with customers! The captain was a wealth of knowledge that really coincided with the sights well. The lunch served was much better than anticipated and the fact the crew served it to passengers in their seats definitely made it easy and fast to get. The warm cookie on the way back was an added bonus to warm us all up! The views on this tour was absolutely breathtaking and the captain knew exactly where to take us for wildlife sightings! We didn’t see whales, but that just means another tour will be in our future with Kenai Fjords Tours for sure!

Overall a really wonderful tour (we saw TONS of whales and wildlife and the beautiful and spectacular Holgate Glacier!) BUT... the tour is VERY long and definitely be prepared for getting sea-sick. I am not a girl who gets sea sick and it was difficult so definitely come prepared! Would I recommend doing it? Absolutely yes! It was so incredible to see the whales and the wildlife in their natural habitat and the beauty surrounding us was incredible and Holgate Glacier on this tour which we did after seeing the animals! It was simply so gorgeous it was unbelievable! I would also recommend the company! You can read more of my review on my blog, Caravan Sonnet if you are interested!

I am from Alaska and have been on a handful of these excursions out of Seward. It wasn’t a nice day weather wise, however we knew being residents this was a possibility. Cruising around the bay wasn’t bad. But once we started going between islands the seas got pretty rough. The captain was talking about a big storm rolling In, so she had full knowledge of this before we went out there. The whole lower deck of our boat got sea sick, our family included. Instead of turning the boat around, she was determined to find whales. We only saw a few humpbacks , and purposes. Never saw a gray whale which was what the tour was about. The captain didn’t seem to listen to her crew, or other passengers. A few of us spotted an orca but she kept going. This happened a few other times with other whales. The two main toilets clogged leaving us with a odd smell when standing outside trying to get over being sea sick. Like I’ve said , we’ve been on a few of these and this was the worst experience we’ve had. The captain can make the trip; she wasn’t up to par.

I took this tour just to see the whales. I was disappointed. I saw mountain goats and sea lions only.
