Know More about this tour

After a quick check-in at the Reef Fleet terminal, your adventure begins with tea, coffee, and muffins before setting off in a high-speed catamaran. Along the way, the staff will discuss the Great Barrier Reef and provide snorkeling techniques. Before arriving at the reef, your crew will organize your snorkeling and diving equipment for you, and offer a safety and dive briefing. Wet suits are available to hire at an additional charge.

For snorkeling, access to and from the water is via snorkel platforms at the back of the vessel. The reef sites are selected for their abundance of marine life and diversity of healthy corals. Novice snorkelers are encouraged to join the staff on a guided snorkel excursion.

Introductory dives are available for newcomers to scuba. These are fully guided dives in small groups under the instruction of one of the experienced dive instructors. Certified divers have the opportunity to conduct two dives during the day. All dives are guided in small groups of no more than six, by experienced dive masters.

Then, it's time for lunch, prepared by an on-board chef. Dig into a hot and cold buffet, which includes a selection of salads, fresh fruits, breads, and a choice of two hot dishes. Vegetarian options are available and any allergy can be catered to with notice.

Once lunch is served, you'll head off to the second exclusive destination. Snorkel tours will continue here and all divers have the opportunity to take a second dive.

Then put the sails up and relax on the spacious sun decks as you set sail back to Cairns. Enjoy a cool beverage on deck or head into the air-conditioned saloon for a marine life presentation, where you can ask any questions about the marine life you saw on the Great Barrier Reef.

After a full day of snorkeling, diving, and sailing, you'll be back in Cairns by 5:00pm.

This tour was absolutely awesome with a great crew looking after us. My partner and I opted to do the introductory scuba dive and it was such an amazing experience. Where better to try scuba diving than the Great Barrier Reef? Our instructor Jess was superb and we felt very safe under the water with her supervision. Thanks so much! The boat was very relaxing with plenty of places to sit and the lunch was very good. Highly recommend. Couldn't have wished for a better time spent at the reef 😊

The staff of the Passions of Paradise treated us with such good care. From the moment we sailed off, through the time in the water and the even the lunch was first class experience. We went with teens on our trip and these guys made everyone feel special. Great attention to service and safety in the water.

So glad we booked with them. Check in was easy and quick, no long lines like some of the bargain tours. I would guess about 80+ passengers and plenty of space to move around and be comfortable. Equipment was good, food was delicious and the crew exceptional! We had really great weather and the snorkeling sites where wonderful. The crew really tried to give everyone a great experience. They are one of the last locally owned operations, buy local, book with passions of paradise!

The boat was comfortable and the food delicious. I also participated in the Discover Scuba which was a cool feature to have on the boat, definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I saw lots of cool wildlife and felt well taken care of by the crew and safe at all times. Thanks for the experience!

We just completed a day tour of the Great Barrier Reef with Paradise Tours! This was a fantastic day! They serve tea, coffee, muffins and fresh fruit on the ride out and it hit the spot as it was just a bit chilly. They also offer it on the way back to port and both tea times are included in the cost of the tour. The boat is comfortable and had varied seating to meet everyone's needs. It is a well run tour and the crew is wonderful. They are very safety conscience but make sure you are having fun at the same time! We went to 2 reefs and it exceeded our expectations! The included lunch was amazing! It is the only reef tour per the crew that has an onboard chef and he is very talented. They served food for every dietary need - meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes and each one was delish!

Although we did not do the dive only regret we recommend participating in the dive option. We had to rent wet suits due to it being windy and a bit chilly but the cost was very affordable 8 AUD- So glad we did that. The crew is fun, very passionate and knowledgable about the Reef and the life there. There is a presentation about the Reef and all the life that abounds on the trip back to port. They do collect for various Reef and Marine life charities as well as the Rainforest but there is no pressure. Highly recommend this tour..... Note - If you have any medical issues, or have had any recent surgery, contact the tour directly -- they will let you know if they need a doctor's letter giving you the OK to dive! So highly recommended!
