Know More about this tour

Your Great Ocean Road tour begins with panoramic views as you leave Melbourne and cross the West Gate Bridge. You’re soon on the coast, passing world-famous Bells Beach, host of the World Surfing Championships.

Relax on the drive as the winding Great Ocean Road hugs the coast, running beside a string of surf beaches to reach the seaside holiday resort of Apollo Bay.

After lunch (own expense), continue your journey along the legendary Great Ocean Road to the limestone rock formations known as the Twelve Apostles. Once joined to the coast, see how the rocks have been eroded over millions of years into the craggy pillars you see today. Go for a stroll along the cliff top or follow winding beach trails at this beautiful wild and windy spot.

At Loch Ard Gorge, hear how this dramatic landscape has a tragic side, as you listen to the tale of the British ship Loch Ard that ran aground near Muttonbird Island in 1878. The two sole survivors came ashore at sheltered Loch Ard Gorge, where you can read the plaques describing why this stretch of shoreline is known as the Shipwreck Coast.

Your last stop on the Great Ocean Road is the seaside village of Port Campbell, sheltered by the surrounding cliffs and Norfolk pines. Browse the boutiques and galleries, or stop for afternoon tea (own expense) at one of the town's many cafes.

Relax on the return trip to Melbourne, returning to the city at around 7:30pm.

  • Great sights and well paced

  • Amazing Experience

  • Amazing tour with some of the most breathtaking scenery I have ever scene. The Twelve Apostles, London Bridge it's what they call it, just a land form that collapsed, and the Loch Ard Gorge are all sites to behold. Our tour guide was also funny and gave quite a bit of information about the different locales and brush fire occurrences. It is a long day, so be prepared for that. My ONLY real complaint had more to do with the time of year we went then anything the tour did wrong. We went in the summer, and the flies were EVERYWHERE! You couldn't take two steps without having to swat them away constantly. So again not really the tours fault, but something to be aware of if you are planning on doing this tour in the summertime. Overall, great trip though and all must sees if you are visiting Melbourne, make time for the this day trip!

  • Great trip! Beautiful scenery. It was a long day of travel but made entertaining by the driver and the frequent stops. Everything was picturesque.

  • Humorous and informative. Not an easy task to do while driving a big bus through winding roads but it was all done wonderfully.

  • Amazing road trip. Twelve Apostle were breath taking. Driver/Guide was was informative and hilarious.

  • This tour was a nightmare.Every stop was inundated with tour buses, hundreds of tourists more interested in taking selfies than looking at the beauty. It was extremely unpleasant and destroyed the day.Early on in the trip, several people vomited on the bus.It smelled for the rest of the day, and inexplicably, even though the driver had warned about the possibility of motion sickness, the bus was not equipped with any deodorant or disinfectant to mitigate the smell.Presumably, nothing can be done to reduce the overwhelming number of tourists all descending on the sites at the same time, but this more than 12 hour trip is definitely not worth it.Apollo Bay is awful as well, with bad restaurants.

  • The Great Ocean Road was beautiful! Our guide explained the area and the sites very well.

  • Our guide, Richard, was a wealth of knowledge and stories. He played Australian Country music for us! This is a really long day trip but worth the drive. I would prefer to have a little more time at the Great Ocean Road memorial, the Twelve Apostles and the Lock Ard Gorge. The scenery is stunning.

  • Comfortable coach bus with USB charging port. Friendly tour guide.
