Know More about this tour

After pickup in the morning from your hotel, hop aboard a comfortable coach and head north out of bustling Beijing to two popular area attractions. The first stop on your full-day sightseeing tour is the Great wall of china, the greatest symbol of ancient Chinese engineering and one of the world's most famous structures. The Badaling section is a prime, preserved example of this colossal monument, which became a strategic military location during the Warring States period (476-221 BC), when many incomplete parts of the wall were built.

Here at the Badaling section, you have the opportunity to climb either the north or south face of the Great Wall, enjoying sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. As you stroll with your guide past watchtowers along the ancient fortification, learn why it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site and see why it lives up to its reputation as one of the Eight Wonders of the World.

From Badaling it's on to the sacred Ming tombs, burial grounds to 13 of the 16 Ming emperors. Situated just outside the city, only three of the tombs are actually open for viewing. Discover the earliest and largest of the excavated burial sites, the Chang Ling Tomb, which dates back to 1413 and is divided into three separate, impressive courtyards.

During your day trip, a Chinese-style lunch is included, along with a shopping opportunity at the renowned Longdi jade factory. Learn how this beautiful stone is carved and enjoy browsing for goods, as well as a chance of the tea tasting before returning to your hotel in Beijing city aboard the coach.

Very knowledgeable tour guide provided us with great background information throughout the day. Found the time available to explore the Great Wall limiting given the distance travelled to get there … time for private exploration needs to be expanded and less regimented. Unfortunately, at the end of the tour, our guide decided that traffic conditions were such that the drive back should be cut short in favour of jumping on the Metro to complete the last stage. This idea was well intentioned … aimed at reducing the time spent in traffic jams … unfortunately not all of us had experienced the Metro prior to the trip … raising levels of anxiety as to how to get back to the hotel (the guide did try very hard to ensure we were all capable of the journey and provided support for this - even checking we all got back safely). However this was not expected and created some unnecessary anxiety at the end of the tour. Rating reflects lack of time at the Wall and unexpected Metro trip ...otherwise rating would be higher.

We had a good time visiting the Ming Tombs and climbing The Great Wall. It was raining that day but we still enjoyed ourselves. It was nice meeting our tour mates who are from the states and we also had a good lunch. Our tour guide was nice and accommodating at first but towards the end of the tour, he was mentioning tips and even asked us if we have tips for the driver. Then he said he is going ahead of us as we will pass by his house. He left the car n bang the door as he went out.

Very informative and kind guide, nice and polite driver! We arrived early in the morning, so there were not many people, which made very easy to climb the Great Wall! Thanks!

During our Visit to Great Wall, the guide was very clear and knowledgeable. Our group had all of our questions answered and much more information and invite for the area and the history of China.

Li was a great tour guide! Wish we had more time at the wall and less time at the ming tombs. Tea ceremony was really interesting.

There was only one person besides my husband and myself on the tour, so it was very pleasant. We visited the Ming tombs first (not very impressed!). Then we went to a jade store which I found to be an unnecessary stop. The tour guide took us to a section of the Great Wall that was not on the tour because he said the section we were suppose to visit was extremely crowded. The section we did visit was not crowded, so it was a pleasant experience. The tour guide's English was difficult to understand at times. Otherwise, we enjoyed the tour.

A definite must see experience. Breathtaking views and such a feeling of amazement at the vast achievements accomplished

Great choice as price and quality. The tour guide Zoe was great with very good English and amazing attitude.
I had a reservation for Saturday, but they couldn't find my hotel and moved me to sunday. So, be careful by saying the address of the hotel. Beijing is a very big city with more than 5000 hotels and some of them has the same name!

Smooth transport from and back to hotel. The tour was a little too commercial with unplanned stops at jade and tea shops. No water! Lunch was good, but not great. Guide was acceptable. Badaling was a good spot to see the wall, not too busy. Enjoyed Ming Tombs.

Tour guide William was great! We were able to stay at the Great Wall for an hour! The lunch was prefect and visit to Ming Tombs, he provided great details. He went out his way and took photos of me and my family on both sites.
