Know More about this tour
Board the schooner at Cairns Marlin Marina and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee served with freshly baked muffins and fruit. As you leave the dock, lend a hand to hoist the sails on the 54-foot (16.5-meter) yacht. After a safety briefing, sit back, relax and enjoy the motor-sail to Green Island. If you plan to scuba dive, you'll complete your paperwork and briefs on the journey so you are ready to dive as soon as you moor.
Once moored at Pinnacle Reef just off Green Island, youll be greeted by schools of tropical fish. Hit the water and snorkel or dive in this underwater paradise. The protected marine life includes endless varieties of colorful fish, turtles, giant clams, shells, starfish and sea anemones. After a morning of snorkeling and scuba diving, a delicious buffet lunch is served onboard before you transfer by dinghy to Green Island.

Visiting the Great Barrier Reef has been at the top of my travel list for years - and Skipper Mike and his awesome crew (Jaz, Chris and Joe) helped me realize my dream. The small number of guests on the lovely sailboat allowed for highly personalized and attentive help. My husband had never snorkeled before but the team had him geared up and exploring the reef in no time. Coffee, pastry and fruit as we left the marina, a delicious lunch after our first snorkel and fruit, cheese crackers, wine and cake on our way back to shore. After leaving the reef the crew got all the sails up and we spent a lovey afternoon sailing back. I don't think we would have had as much fun on one of the big ships, where I am sure there is less personal attention. Felt like I was out with friends rather than being on a paid-for excursion. Glad to support this family-owned business and would 100% recommend this amazing experience.
100% would recommend. Worth every dollar spent. The crew was fantastic and the experience was great. The food was so so yummy and there was so much! I would recommend the scuba diving especially if you’re certified because it’s a great dive and there is so much to see! Sailing back was such a good time. Another unexpected bucket list item ticked off. And only a small amount of people made for a fun social trip.
love the small group experience, the staff exceptionally attentive, the food and snacks, and the feeling of being taken care. I felt very safe snorkeling.
This was a fantastic experience! Super laid back, but really well organised. Captain and crew were excellent and barrier reef was amazing! Personally though, I would have preferrred to miss the green island visit and have had more time more snorkeling, but it was such a great day 5 stars is the only way I can rate this day. We had two kids (12 and 14) and they loved it too! Absolutely the highlight of our Cairns trip.
This is a fantastic day out on the reef, always wanted to experience a sailing boat and with only a small group you are well looked after, no hustle and bustle a relaxing day, no stress. The crew were amazing big call out to the girls, they work so hard to make this an experience you will never forget. Got to see lots of coral, colourful fish and some reef sharks 🦈. We did the same type of trip last year but with 200 other people, this smashes that for an experience.
It was amazing! Only 3 staff members to do everything, they’re all super cool (and strong!) the job isn’t easy but the passion is there! They’re explaining things very well, they make sure you’re ok and they answer all your questions. The food was good, the snorkeling was amazing and green island was lovely! Thank you guys!
This day was absolutely amazing. The crew and guests were all so lovely, and as a solo traveller, being in an intimate setting and having such a lovely crew really made the day so enjoyable. There was so much time to explore the reef and green island after lunch. It is value for money, and the lunch was delicious! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a peaceful day out on the reef without the crowds
This is worth the splurge for an intimate day on the Great Barrier Reef! You feel like a genuine boat guest instead of just a number. The staff are all professional, knowledgeable, and safety conscious throughout the entire trip. A great variety of food is served all day long with a complimentary wine on the ride back to shore. There is only one other company allowed at this location on the GBR. You are not competing with any crowds while snorkeling, diving, and exploring Green Island. A real treat!
Great day on the water FANTASTIC crew , nice cruise out to the reef and Green Island , good food ,nice boat only bad point they would not pay me for this review but left it anyway 😀
Took my 16 yr old son on the trip I had loved 2 or 3 times in mid-late 1990s. Still wonderful. Sailing, snorkelling & Green Island - all wonderful! Great crew, lovely lunch. Fabulous day!
