Know More about this tour

We start at the iconic Washington Square Park, epicenter of this massive historic district. Then we begin our exploration of Greenwich Village, a neighborhood settled in the early 1800s, and once the outer-suburbs of New York for the wealthy elite before eventually evolving into the heart of the progressive, bohemian west village.

See the neighborhood's key landmarks, famous and less so, as well as the clubs that launched the careers of Bob Dylan and countless others. But the real highlight of this tour for many are the quiet, winding streets of this gorgeous neighborhood. You will fall in love with its old townhouses and courtyards.

Next, we enter the Meatpacking District, a former industrial hub that helped change and grow the city of New York. You'll see the popular Chelsea Market, old cobblestone streets, and gorgeous old industrial buildings.

Finally, we visit the stunning High Line, a former freight rail converted into a modern, 21st-century park in the sky. This park is a marvel of urban revival and filled with lots of art. It is quickly becoming one of NYC's most popular attractions. It is here that the tour ends and your own journey can continue.

The tour will end near Chelsea Market.

  • I WANT TO FIRSTLY SAY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR! This tour was fantastic. Our wonderful tour guide, Jeremy, a local New Yorker was really friendly, he spoke beautifully and eloquently, was already waiting for us well on time under the Washington Square arch in Washington Square Park. Jeremy, made this tour very interesting with loads of information that he shared about the history of Greenwich village and its Dutch and the British heritage.
Jeremy also made the tour very enjoyable overall, by keeping things interesting and entertaining with his quirky sense of humour and wonderful personality. He pointed out the oldest jazz club the bars where great singers first performed. We Walked along some stunning and beautiful Brown stone houses with plenty of explanation on design and history.
This tour is really great, made better by Jeremy, there are a lot of details, Colonial history of what was the US first Capital city. We made our way towards the meat packing district via the famous Stonewall Inn where the LGBT movement started. This area filled with surprises and not your usual criss cross grid pattern streets as this original section of the city was laid before the more modern uptown, so there's bends and curved streets with alleys. Jeremy filled us in on all the facts and made the tour interesting, the old Nabisco factory, the birthplace of Oreos, the transformation of the old rail yard area to a new vibrant community and to end we walked along the High line park. A unique park built up above street level on an old goods rail line. From here there are some great views of the city and plenty of art work to keep you amused. this was a great experience and a marvelous way to see Greenwich in a small group tour.
Jeremy was absolutely fantastic, he is brilliant guide who gave us lots of really interesting facts and information I might not have enjoyed this tour so much if it had not been for Him.
So again I Highly recommend this tour!
