Know More about this tour

Choose your desired tour start time and travel independently to Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum in central Krakow. Meet your guide outside and hear how the museum is housed in the very factory where the Nazi industrialist Oskar Schindler employed Jewish workers during WWII.
Before starting, get an illuminating introduction to Schindler, learning how Steven Spielberg brought his story to the world’s attention in his 1993 Oscar-winning movie, Schindler’s List.
Then, head inside for your in-depth tour. Made up of interactive and photographic displays, the museum concentrates not only on Schindler’s and his employees’ work, but also on Krakow’s suffering during the run-up to war and beyond. As you explore, your guide will provide fascinating commentary, recounting poignant tales that will deepen your understanding of what happened here and Krakow’s history.
Learn Schindler’s story and how his Jewish employees manufactured pots, pans, tins and other enamelware for the German army: a vital war effort that protected them from near-certain transportation to the concentration camps. See some of the products made here, view Schindler’s office, and hear the fates of some of the 1,200 Schindlerjuden — Schindler’s Jews — who worked in the factory.
Follow your guide around the rooms dedicated to Krakow’s suffering during the war and later 20th century. View photographs of the terrorized city; be transported into the cobbled streets, resistance hideaways and prisons of the Nazi- and Soviet-occupied city; and get a sense of the overwhelming fear that gripped the population through original documents, artifacts, and film and radio recordings.
After two hours of exploring, your tour ends outside the building. Say goodbye to your guide, who will provide you with directions back to the city center or your hotel as required.

  • Very interesting! Would hight recommend to anyone visiting Krakow

  • The tour was good and had a lot of interesting facts. Hostorical facts were very well presented. However, if you are expecting a lot of information about Schindler then you will be disappointed. Our guide told us this up front but that of course was after we bought our ticket. We did walk though a building that held his administrative offices and did see his actual office. However, they expect most of the information about his story to come from viewing the movie Schindler's List.

  • We visited with Discover Cracow and a tour guide showed us around this fantastic and interesting exhibition.Book early as lots of queues from late morning onwards and it gets busy. We did find however the tour guide was rushing us as we wanted to spend more time looking around. The guide was very informative but afterwards we went round at our own leisurely pace. Really interesting must visit if you are in Krakow.

    A few tips:
    - go early if you are going
    - admission is free on a Monday but get there early as tickets are limited
    - allow at least two hours
    - we found out after that the free walking tour ends up here after going round the jewish quarter so worth doing both together.

  • Excellent! Great to have a guide with real passion for the history of his country. A must for anyone interested in recent history.

  • Tour was ok but a lot of the information had already been given to us when we visited Auschwitz the day before. Found it very crowded and was expecting to see lots more about Oskar himself and the workers. Disappointed !

  • Really good tour and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Wonderful.

  • Very good tour with English speaking guide. Took us a bit to get used to her accent. She was very knowledgable. Would recommend this tour. Tour lasted about 2 to 2.5 hours.

  • This tour did not include any transport and is some way across the river from the old town. A long walk or a difficult tram ride, or 2, or the extra expense of a taxi. An over priced tour, it included a museum guide who was somewhat intense in presenting the information. Other people tagged onto our group who had clearly not paid any extra for the privilege and there was not much room anywhere during the tour so there was always other people squeezing past us. In fact it would not have been necessary to have a guide at all as all the displays were in English and we would have had more time to look at them. We paid 17.64 per person and on the door it would not even have been 5. Also there were long queues outside but no way of getting in even though we had a prepaid ticket, the staff were quite rude and unhelpful. Beware this is a Museum only about Krakow under Nazi occupation it is not a Factory. Also we were criticised by the guide for taking a picture of a Nazi flag as she felt it was wrong but taking of pictures is allowed without the use of a flash .

  • I went on this tour with my 3 children aged 13 - 30 on April 6th 2017. Very informative, very poignant, emotional and a stark reminder of what could occur again if we forget our humanity.
The trip was organized brilliantly. Guides knowledge excellent. Faultless day. Wear walking shoes as none stop.

  • Very informative, good guide, well worth a visit
