August 2023 - Great tour and history in Napier. Tour started with a film presentation in the Art Deco Trust building then we did a walking tour of the CBD area of Napier. Our guide Jane was delightful and a fountain of information. Really unique buildings in Art Deco style architecture and a really worthy effort by the trust for preservation. Plus we were able to visit the beautiful community theater. Highly recommend this tour for fans of history, art, or architecture and there is a current earthquake exhibit at the MGT museum next door .Tour was easily booked online, walking was easy - flat terrain and maybe 2km total, and during the week plenty of parking availability nearby. Good job!

We very much enjoyed this tour guided by Alan who was both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Until now neither of us have been great fans of Art Deco but now that we have a better understanding of it we see it and enjoy it everywhere. We can highly recommend the tour and the lovely town of Napier.

Loved the video of the 1836 earthquake…..not too long and great photos. Our guide was informative and enthusiastic and gave us the perfect amount of information without being boring or giving too much detail. Thoroughly enjoyed the hour and a half tour.

Robin was such a friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. We had a great time, it was very interesting and a great way to spend the morning. Even my husband who was that interested in it to begin with found it really interesting and enjoyed himself.
-
The tour has been very informative for us. We learnt more about the clever design of art deco especially on the tapered sides of buildings. Chris has shared with us soo much knowledge. We are very thankful and now we see art deco designs with a different lens. Highly recommended!

The incredible knowledge of the tour guide and the engaging way that she related to the group made it interesting and memorable.

I really enjoyed the walk. Robyn our guide had great personal stories to tell us, as well as the detailed information about the Art Deco buildings and era. The film about the earthquake & impact on Napier was special.
-
Excellent amount of information. Tour guide was great - took extra time to show us more of the lovely Art deco buildings. Recommend tourists do this walk on Day 1 of their visits. Great value for money.
-
Excellent tour with very informative guide, just the right length of time. Would recommend to any visitors.

My husband & I were so fortunate to have Lesley our tour guide all to ourselves. Lesley was very knowledgeable, equipped with a folder of pictures, and so patient as we stopped to take photos. Also, Lesley shared information on the Trust, providing me with contact details etc.to follow up.
