They didn't use actual kayaks which would have been fine if I knew before hand. Swimsuit would have been better than street clothes and wasn't comfortable. We paddled slowly which was nice but still got back in less than 2 hours.

Most importantly, this is not a kayaking trip as advertised. It was a two hour paddle seated on a paddle board with a plastic back rest. My family has been kayaking many times and this is not comparable. I would suggest editing your advertisement to fit. an older person, even with kayaking experience, could not tolerate or find this enjoyable. The two tour guides where very kind but the river tour guides had nothing to offer. The water is very dark so nothing to see there and no wildlife anywhere on shore. It was the one thing about our trip To Myrtle Beach that was a total disappointment. I do not recommend

Excellent trip. Michael is amazing. Our group ranged from 9yo -79yo. Everyone had a great time. It’s the perfect family outing. Ask for Michael; you won’t regret it.

Didn’t know we had options on kayaks as doubled up on one kayak and was very difficult. Main group went far ahead so we missed any details. Didn’t see any life was just a backwoods creek most of the way. Pleasant trip but not very exciting

This was an amazing experience! My teen daughter was a little nervous, but the guides helped her feel confident and by the end of the tour, she was having a blast! I would highly recommend this beautiful tour!

The river was calm and serene! The terrain was beautiful! The guide, Michael, was amazing! He was super friendly and highly educated about the area! A great way to end our vacation!😁

I had a fantastic time on a two-hour sunrise kayak trip with Jack's Surf Lessons and Board Rentals. The whole thing was peaceful and the view was just like a scene from a Nicolas Sparks book. Our guides, Michael, Angela, and Casper, were super friendly and knew a lot about the area. They even picked up trash we saw on the way, which I really respected. We got to see some parts of South Carolina's waters that you wouldn't normally see, and it was beautiful. I think anyone looking for a fun and different way to see South Carolina would really enjoy this. In short, Jack's Surf Lessons and Board Rentals offer a great kayaking experience. It's not just about the kayaking, but also about learning and looking after the environment. I would definitely recommend them.

Michael gave an excellent Kayak tour. We had a great time. It was our first time doing this type of tour but would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I'm a 61 year-old, not in terrific shape lady. I used to love everything about being near rivers and lakes. I fished, canoed and sometimes just hung out by the water because it's so peaceful. On the Friday before Memorial Day, 2018, my first-born son went missing. He was 38 years old. He was found deceased by a Kayaker on Memorial Day of that year. It was ruled an accidental drowning death. Since then, I have not gone near the water. I didn't think that I could without losing my mind. Segue to 2023. My Grandson and I were in Myrtle Beach for a few days and he REALLY wanted to do a Kayak Tour. As a Grandparent, we do what our Grandchildren want to do because we love them so much. Mind you, the folks at Jack's had no idea about any of this; I'm not a "wear my heart on my sleeve" kinda gal. I reached out to Paige (at Jack's) with very little time left in our vacation and asked about taking a Kayak Tour. I had never been kayaking and neither had my Grandson and we didn't have a large group of people. Paige was amazing! She scheduled us for the next evening (the Sunset Tour) even though we didn't have a group...just us two. She was patient and kind, even when I called three times within 12 hours to ask questions about how it all worked. When we arrived at the designated meeting place, our Guides, Drew and Isaac (who was in training) were already there, They had our Kayaks/Paddle Boards ready to go. They helped both my Grandson and I get onto the Kayaks and throughout the tour, they intuited when we wanted to converse and when silence was appreciated. They pointed out Osprey nests, explained why the water is green (no, it's not dirty -- you'll have to take the tour to find out) and were extremely knowledgeable about everything having to do with the river, with local wildlife, with kayaking and with paddle boarding. I'm certain that they'd answered the same questions many times but you would never know it. They were both very friendly, professional and just doggone good at what they did. For my Grandson, amazing photos and video were highlights of the day but for me, getting back out on the water was life-changing. After five years, I felt great about being out in nature again. Out on the water with no sadness. And I knew that this happened for a reason. It was a happy, informative, peaceful experience that my Grandson and I will never forget. Take this tour (or one of the others). Take the surf/paddle board/kayaking lessons. You will have an amazing time. And who knows? It might be life-changing for you and yours as well. You never know until you try.

My wife tried to plan out our weekend at Myrtle Beach. She was nervous about the kayak thing as it would have been a new experience. We had a 5 oclock appointment and as I stated my wife was nervous. So after 2 we get a call from Jacks asking if we could reschedule for another day because of not having a guide available. We were leaving the following morning so that was not an option. We took this as a sign of this not going so well and we tried to tell them we had second thoughts but we still had to pay for the tour. So in my opinion they started the ball rolling on us paying for nothing.
