Know More about this tour

Your half-day tour starts with the pickup from your hotel lobby in Cusco, then head to your first stop, Plaza de armas, home to the beautiful Cathedral of Cusco

Take a tour of this World Heritagelisted church, and then continue on foot with your guide along an ancient Inca-built street from Plaza de Armas to the Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun. Here you'll see the clash between Inca culture and Catholicism as you take note of the difference in building methods. The Inca architecture here is quite amazing, particularly a high altar made of bronze, as this was the key spiritual center of the Incas, to where all roads led from all of the four quarters of the Inca Empire.

From Qoricancha, walk down to Avenida El Sol, and board your bus for the drive up and just outside of the city. The 20-minute ride takes you to the majestic Inca site Sacsayhuaman, with its enigmatic monoliths weighing as much as 200 tons. After Sacsayhuaman, continue to Qenqo, home to fascinating Inca altars, and then take a 5-minute drive to Puca pucara, a small, circular Inca site.

Your final stop is Tambomachay, a water temple with fountains thought to be used by the Inca for bathing. Return to the city in the early evening to end your tour.

The tour guide picked us up promptly at our hotel, the tour guide, Roger was great and very friendly. The only issue with this tour is that it does not mention in the original booking on the Viator website that in addition to the price shown you will need to pay for all of the excursion fees. What would be helpful would be to include all of the excursion fees as a guideline so that you know what to expect as a whole, otherwise it is misleading advertising. We ended up having to buy a ticket for 175 soles each and the one ticket that was 130 soles on it's own was great as it included visits to ten different areas, but we would never have had the chance to see all of the things included and only two things that were on the ticket were included in this half-day tour. With Viator I'd always check exactly what they are offering and make sure you get emails from the actual contracted tour provider, as this isn't Viator and often you don't receive any emails at all. So overall a good guide, but a lot of crucial information was missing and for this reason I wouldn't recommend this tour,

It's a good tour, to know the city, but very superficially. To many people, for only one guide.
