My husband and I had never been to Dubai and last May, had an eight hour stopover there,en route to Dublin from Perth. We hadn’t a clue how to go about making the most of the opportunity to get a reasonable overview of the area. We approached “Arabian Adventure,” who are allied to Emirates and are located in the airport terminal. They organised a private car and driver for us, at a cost of 120€ for a four hour booking. Apparently, many people go on a shopping spree in Dubai, which was an option we could have taken, but we were much more interested in seeing the sights. We were given a “ menu” of places, old and new from which to choose. Our driver, Nasir Mehmood, was an absolute gentleman and a mine of useful information. He was able to guide us in our choices and couldn’t have been more patient and helpful. The tour was terrific value for money. We wouldn’t have seen nearly as much or had access to as many sites/sights, had we tried to use public transport. We couldn’t recommend Nasir and this private tour option highly enough.
