It was wonderful to walk around and see all the authentic street food sit outside do what the locals do. A great introduction to Hanoi and what to eat and what to do there. Now I'm a pro! Definitely try the egg coffee.

Light on interaction with the guides but the food was good and authentic. Our guides seemed a bit inexperienced with negotiating Hanoi traffic and got lost twice. But that is part of the Hanoi charm?
