Know More about this tour

At 7:30 am, your local English speaking guides will greet and meet you at your hotel or any specific place. You will then receive safety instructions on how to ride on the back of a bike properly in order to ensure the safest experience. Then, you will soon whisk away on the back of their bikes with no problem at all to have breakfast totally in Vietnamese style.

After breakfast, walk around a local wet market (not Ben thanh market) where locals come every day to shop is an eye opening and exciting experience. Your guides can also help you to negotiate to get the best prices and you would learn some basic Vietnamese to try trading, bargaining in Vietnamese style with the vendors. You also will try some kinds of fruits and drink coconut water in this local market.

Then, you will travel through the must-see landmarks while getting off the crowded tourist trail. Take a peek at the history, the streets and the sights that most foreign tourists never even hear about or see on their way.

You will also try the most famous drink in Vietnam in old hidden apartment: the Vietnamese coffee and learn how to make a glass of coffee without machine. It is so good and that is why it has its place in everyone's bucket list when coming to Vietnam.

You will then go to lunch, where you will have a Saigon delicacy such as Com tam (broken rice) or Bun Bo (Beef noodle soup)

At 11:30am, after having lunch, you will travel back to your hotel.

We regularly do this food tour with friends who come to HCMC because the guides are always friendly, knowledgable and great drivers :) They're open to customize tours to everyone's preferences and always take us to great new places we would have never found on our own. Thank you for the continued great experiences!

This has been my favourite activity since coming to Vietnam (done food tours in Hanoi & Hoi An). My grandmother and I had Ben and Lucy as tour guides and they were fantastic! So knowledgeable! Super Friendly! Very understanding about my grandmother not being a huge eater. This has really made our trip worth while!

Our morning food tour was easily one of the highlights of our visit to Ho Chi Minh. Our guides, Phat & Mera picked us up from our hotel right on time and immediately took us to try some amazing breakfast foods around the city that we would not have found on our own. Phat & Mera were super friendly and really fun people to spend the morning with, we enjoyed our conversations as much as the food! They were very kind to accommodate our vegetarian requirement and the food was plentiful and delicious! It was a really nice touch that after the tour Phat & Mera sent me an email with the places we had visited and the foods we had tried – what helpful information to have if you want to order a dish again but maybe didn’t catch (or remember!) the name during the tour. I highly recommend taking a tour with Saigon Food Tours!

What a wonderful combination of delicious Vietnamese cuisine and exhilarating riding pillion on a motor scooter through the hustle and bustle of HCMC traffic.Alex and Quoc Van were amazing, knowledgeable, thoughtful, humorous and friendly. One of the highlights of our recent visit.

We had an absolute blast flying through the streets of Ho Chi Minh on the back of motorbikes. It never felt unsafe, and the guides did a great job making us feel comfortable. The food was delicious and exciting as they made us try 4 "mystery" meats. Our hosts were very friendly and funny. It was fun asking them questions and getting a sense for Vietnamese culture for early 20 year-olds. Also, their English was impeccable. Highly recommend.

We just completed an awesome morning food tour in Saigon! Ben and Eddie were excellent guides! We highly recommend Ben and Eddie! Riding scooters through the streets of Saigon was the most fun we’ve had in some time! My wife was a little nervous to try it at first, but she loved it! We want to book the night tour now!

I went with my mum and we had a very good morning with the guides Danny and TB. The guides were very knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. We didn’t eat huge amounts of food; two bigger meals, fruit, coffee and sugar cane juice but that was the perfect amount. Highly recommend for anyone (who is not afraid to be on the back of a scooter)!

We were a party of 6 adults and had the tour booked for us as part of of Vietnam experience and that it was. An amazing experience. The young ladies and 1 gent who picked us up at our hotel were incredible. These are young students, highly intelligent, interesting and very knowledgeable. We had such a fun day and were very comfortable on the bikes even though it was quite daunting initially.
