An okay experience.

Had a fantastic time. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We would go again.

Enjoyed our Guide Kevin! He did a great job. I wasn't happy with how my reservations were handled. I called the day before and Desert Dog didn't have a clue I had a trip the next day! And the Hummer I , had a running board bent in so far it was hard to get in and out of it! And also, the air conditioning wasn't working well. Kevin made the difference , but not sure I would go through Desert Dog again....Richard Basham

A complete rip off and false advertising.
First let me say the driver's demeanor and the driver's knowledge was excellent! A great guy! But I paid for an extreme tour in a hummer! Extreme? Extreme what? I was expecting to be blasting through the desert mountains in a hummer having a wild ride. What did I get? A hummer going 5-10 mph for 3.5 hours explaining everything about every cactus. Yes, 5-10 mph! Come on! I believe it was false advertising by the company itself not the driver. Here is what the ad said on or trip advisor:
For adrenaline junkies: If you want an even more exciting adventure, where youll navigate through more rugged terrain, upgrade to the extreme tour.
Yeah, at 5 mph! A complete rip off. I have never had a bad tour before in my life and I will tell everyone about and tripadvisor's bad advertising.

Great guide, knowledgeable and desert savy!
Loads of information and history and cold water!
Desert grown our guide was obviously in tune with the existence of living her and surviving. -
Our tour was fascinating, and so very different. Our guide was quite knowledgeable. At the end we stopped for a short while at a man made lake, and suddenly about 12 wild mustangs appeared. I would recommend this tour to others.

I loved the scenery of the cactuses and the terrain. Our guide was exceptional explaining and answering our questions. He was very helpful for the riders to find iron wood limbs on the ground. My family members that were along enjoyed the tour of the Tonto Forest.

What an exhilarating way to see the desert! We explored many trails amid the majestic saguaro's and unique desert environment. We were thrilled by the Humvee's ability to crawl over massive rock formations and rugged terrain. Brian, our guide, shared his knowledge and experience growing up in this country. Learning so much about how the native Indians were able to adapt and thrive in the unforgiving desert was truly amazing. Brian was our best discovery in the Sonoran desert.

Kevin, our guide made the desert come alive with his knowledge and experience of what we will never think of again as just sand and cactus. He shared his knowledge of all living things in the desert, including animals, reptiles, birds, trees and plant life. He is truly at home with the desert. The Hummer experience was something to remember. We recommend this to any and all ages!!!

We are a family of five that went on this tour. We were paired with a lovely couple who live in the area but had not yet done this tour. Our guide was very informative. All of us enjoyed the ride.
